Wade won that series in game 4
Game 4 was the only game where Bron, Wade, and Bosh all played great, and as a result they dominated and won by 16. Bron and Wade not only played practically the same game (Bron 33-11-4-2-2 on 15-25 shooting, Wade 32-6-4-6-1 on 14-25 shooting), but they played it at practically the same pace, scoring damn near the exact same points in every quarter (LeBron ahead 11-10 in the 1st, 4-4 in the 2nd, LeBron 9-8 in the 3rd, Wade 10-9 in the 4th).

Wade had a great 8-point run early in the 4th that started the closing run but he didn't finish it (Wade's run moved the lead from 5 to 9).

Claiming that Wade won the series in a damn 2-2 tie when he and LeBron had almost the same game is just a stupid stretch, especially when it took heroic efforts in Game 6 and Game 7 to actually win the series. Just think of it the other way - you would NEVER credit LeBron with winning the series in Game 4 if you switched their performances around.

because wade got hurt in game 5 and lebron intentionally threw the seies after game 3 when wade was gonna win fmvp
The claim that LeBron purposely dealt himself the worst loss in his history, the one loss that hurt his legacy more than anything else that he's ever done, the one loss that gets brought up any time anyone ever wants to hate on Bron, and cost himself his first title solely so his best friend wouldn't get Finals MVP is one of the stupidest narratives on the Coli (and there's strong competition).

And then you add the idea that Wade was hurt in Game 5 to sabotage you're own narrative....so if Wade was hurt and LeBron could swoop in and steal MVP with series-winning performances in Game 6 and Game 7...why da fukk wouldn't he do that? :mindblown:

And just to highlight different standards, no one ever mentions that Wade missed the game-tying free throw with 30 seconds left in Game 4, missed the game-winning 3pt with 1 second left in Game 2, and missed the go-ahead 3pt with 59 seconds left in Game 2. That could have been the difference between winning 4-0 and having it go 2-2, if LeBron had missed that free throw and game-winner both he never would have heard the end of it.

Wade missed the most critical shots in the Game 2 and Game 4 losses and arguably played worse than Bron in the Game 5 and Game 6 losses, yet he gets absolutely 0% of the blame and people talk like he was playing at an MVP level all series long when he really only balled out in games 2-3-4 (and missed the critical shots in 2 and 4). And LeBron SHOULD get most of the criticism, because he was the key to Miami winning and he couldn't do it. But don't even try to pretend that Wade was on the same level as him and then ignore the fact that no one says shyt about Wade's shortcomings when LeBron would have been blasted for the same thing.

Philly bouls, Trust the Process
Also game 6 of the 2016 finals was the best display of Bron ball possibly ever. They ran the warriors out the gym and I think Bron was responsible for probably 70 of the 115 points through points and assists (16/27 41 points and 11 assists, 3 blk, 4 stls)
I always say 2nd stint Cavs Bron is actual peak Bron. Miami Bron may have been more athletic, but Bron in the second Cavs run developed the mentality to just dominate and not take his foot off the gas

Miami Bron wasn’t doing shyt like 36/13/9 in the 2015 Finals, Miami Bron not leading the 3-1 comeback averaging 36/12/10/3/3 on over 3:1 A:TO and 52/41/73 splits, giving you 34/12/10 the following year on 63%TS, or dropping 51/8/8 on 69%TS in 2018 before JR fumbled the bag :damn:

the production was just on another level

Setting the scene: the Heat are down 75-63 with 30 seconds left in the 3rd, Bron has played every minute of the game so far, Wade and Bosh are resting. When his rampage is done, the Heat are up 3.

Let’s go possession by possession. Keep in mind, these aren't just the times he made a play, this is every single offensive possession in order. Also note that he was hounding Manu and Tony Parker the whole quarter:

  1. Final seconds of the 3rd quarter: Lebron gets into the paint, gets hacked, makes both FT

  2. First possession of the 4th: Lebron gets into the paint, draws 4 defenders, kicks out for a wide open Chalmers 3

  3. Next: Popovich tells Diaw to play deeper to prevent the drive. Still, Lebron gets into the paint, fakes Splitter, gets the layup

  4. Next: Popovich tells Diaw to drop even deeper than last time. As Lebron prepares to drive, Neal shifts over to double him. He goes too far, Lebron hits Mike Miller for 3

  5. Next: Kawhi on him, playing almost in the paint, Lebron plays a two-man game with Chalmers, frees himself off a pick and drives for the dunk.

  6. Next: 2 man game with Chalmers again, then drives. With 4 defenders near the paint, he kicks back out to Mario at the 3, who fakes and misses a runner. Lebron catches the rebound and in one motion puts it back. The headband has been knocked off. Again Please Note: This is every single offensive possession, not just his baskets or assists. We’re at less than 9 minutes now. Lebron’s headband is off. Bosh and Wade are on the bench

  7. Next: the first possession that he doesn’t either score or assist. Got to the hoop but arguably gets hammered.

  8. Next: off ball, starts to cut on Manu, who blatantly elbows him in the throat. Lebron gets it on the inbound after the foul on the block, backs down Kawhi and finishes at the hoop. He has now scored or assisted on 16 straight points

  9. Next: Brilliant pass in to Birdman, who gets hacked and hits the FT

  10. Next: blocks Duncan at point blank range, gets ball in transition, gets to the hoop, jump stop, shot fake (Timmy bites), step through and lay in

  11. Next: Allen gets the layup in transition

  12. Next: gets to the foul line, hits 1.

  13. Next: drives on Diaw, gets the lay up. Note: we are now at the 5 minute mark. Lebron has now scored or assisted every time he has touched the ball against the Spurs best defense while Wade rests. In that same time frame, he has been guarding either TP or Manu, neither of whom have scored or assisted on him. Also had maybe the 2nd best block of his career on Timmy. Most of his shots have been drives, and he’s gotten hit each time, including two blatant hacks. He’s gotten 14 seconds of rest in the entire game.
