You've never seen hitters with reputations for having a good eye get the benefit of the doubt on balls slightly outside the strike zone? OK.

You've been complaining all game about this umpire, yet the Yankees are the one with a Major League record for striking out in an inning. But definitely on the umpire, solely.
The Yankees fell around middle of the pack as far as most strike out metrics are concerned so I don't know what you're talking about there. The majority of strike zone gripes that have been voiced have been about the calls Judge has been getting. If you're going to bring up his strike outs, I hope you're just as eager to bring up how he's amongst league leaders in walks, on base percentage and ops. Even during his big slump this summer he was consistently getting on base. He has a great eye for the ball, yet is not getting the calls he should be getting which is why he's being forced to swing at balls out of the zone. So his numbers clearly show he has a good eye, yet where is this benefit of the doubt you speak of?:ohhh:

With that said, the Astros are the best hitting team in the league:manny:

The Astros aren't better than the Yankees, they have not out played us at all. They barely getting by. If we win game 3, we should be in good position to win it all.
Lol wut? :heh:

Our base runners have gotten extra bases and haven’t gotten thrown out several times. Our pitchers aren’t giving up home runs in crucial moments, oh and our closer hasn’t blown a save yet.

If there is a positive, our pitching did so good/excellent the first 2 games, we held the best bats in the American League to 4 runs in 2 games. Also positive, we got past their best two starters, all their other pitching is simply average and the yanks have an opp to jump on that for 2 or 3 games. Simply, the bats did not come through. I think we should’ve sued sonny in one of the first 2 games to sacrifice that L but oh well, too late. I’m still positive and going to be going crazy at game 3. Can’t wait, fukk these stros

Chap didn't blow a save, the best hitting team in the AL barely put the ball in play these two games. Ya nikkas got lucky plain and simple let's keep it a buck.

:dahell: Sonny Gray is going to get at least 1 start at some point in this series. That will account for the Astros 3rd win, the Yankees will still have to deal with Keuchel & Verlander again at some point this series if it gets passed 4 games.

So you really believe that if we were in the 8th inning no more runs would’ve been put up with Correa on 2nd? :martin:
