I don't understand why the Astros are starting Morton over McCullers.
Yes, the entire staff (sans Verlander) will be available tonight, but this just doesn't make much sense.
There was a good stretch during the season where McCullers was Houston's best pitcher.
The only thing I can think is that Morton held lefties to a .172 batting average this year. Or that McCullers may not be 100% healthy.
But McCullers induces far more ground balls than Morton and he misses more bats.
In any case look for the Astros to throw a shyt ton of curveballs tonight, particularly away.
As for Sabathia, he's had great success lately with his slider, but I think Houston's RHHs will be looking to turn on it quite a bit...particularly with that joke of a left field fence (what is it? 310 feet or some shyt?)
Sabathia might consider tossing in a few more change ups tonight in lieu of his sinker.
