If I had a wife and 5 kids to take care of, I’m not risking my life over a few bucks. It is what it is. You live to make another fare. I think because he’s from Ghana, he didn’t understand the seriousness of what could happen.

To a single man with no kids working from home its a few bucks. To a man in his 50's with 4 kids and a wife to provide for that might have been his kids uniform or if his kids are eating tonight.

I had a delivery business. The company I subcontracted for would have me a lot of routes in Manhattan. I didn’t want to pay. $3.00 if I was only going to be parked for a few minutes. Eventually the tickets got crazy. Parking in Manhattan is a pain in the ass. Fed Ex and UPS have a deal with the city where they actually get a discounts on their tickets. So they tell the drivers to park wherever. So the parking authority go crazy on the tickets.

But they do it indiscriminately.
