The only parts of Brooklyn that are dead are some of the Jewish areas

Canarsie is quiet to me, I like it like that and don't mind traveling to other parts of the city for entertainment. Even during the summer hardly any ppl be outside for NYC standards.


I agree with the poster who said Harlem seems more fun than BK.. I spend most of my BK time in Canarsie though since I live there, only other place in BK I go to in the summer often is Coney Island which is great during the summer.


I also can see how some ppl think NYC isn't popping like that, a lot of events I found out about though the Coli (AA day parade in Harlem for example) and by mistake IRL (116th festival and a Harlem block party this past Saturday). It hard to find out about some of these events unless you really do some digging. I'm talking about street fares/block parties and lesser known parades like the Dominican, AA parades, etc. I don't do nightlife so I don't care about clubs Trying different restaurants around the city is my thing now, mainly Soul Food, Pizza, Sandwiches etc.
