Because you’re assuming that them talking a little shyt was going to bring the game to a halt which it wasn’t they were drifting further away from each other. To me, they should’ve been allowed more time to go to their respective sides which they were basically in the process of doing. All I know is I would’ve missed out on many classic Kobe duels if refs always behaved like this.

I’ll say this, rather than simply kick guys out there should at least be a rule where players involved in these kinda verbal altercations have to sit for 5 mins.
