The real risks without HTTPS
If a site doesn’t use HTTPS:- Anyone on the same network (public WiFi, etc.) can see what you’re doing
- Login info, passwords, or messages can be intercepted
- Attackers can modify the page in transit (inject ads, malware, etc.)
But here’s the important part
- Just visiting an HTTP site doesn’t automatically mean you’ll get hacked
- The biggest danger is entering sensitive info (passwords, credit cards, etc.)
Quick rule of thumb
Never log in or enter personal info on HTTP sites
Browsing only = lower risk, but still not ideal
HTTPS = standard and expected today
Why some sites still don’t use HTTPS
- Old/abandoned websites
- Misconfiguration
- Cheap hosting setups

Onlybrehs is down for me but Dapcity is running smooth.
