People are too concerned about what the next person has which means their priorities are all over the place. I have a luxury car and a shyt ton of shoes and clothes but it’s within my means because I work two jobs and I have a super low mortgage compared to others where I live.

I'll never hate someone that has luxury shyt.

I'm being totally honest. I'm not talking about these new Gen Z people but people my age, my peer group ages 35-40.

I keep seeing people lie about who and what they are.

Everyone is fake and phoney and folks are to old to be this way.

Toyota is making billions of dollars a year. I know I have one. But everyone screams they need the Benz, Tesla, or BMW.

Why when you have financial troubles.

I don't get it

Sorry for the rant

I have a Lamborghini

Consumerist culture. When advertisers realized they could sell people a 'feeling' and 'status' instead of just a product that does something useful, people have been trying to make themselves seem like more than who or what they are.

People don't feel like they can be honest about who they are without ridicule so they're incentivized to hide who they are and put on a mask to impress others.

the fact that when people think of “fake, phoney” their minds automatically jumps to material shyt like clothes, vehicles, money and social media tells everything

people have it in their hearts and souls to want to appear “good/great” but our dead western culture promotes materialism as the only route to goodness and greatness and virtue itself. it looks fake because it is fake.

true virtue is the real deal and accessible to everyone but few people are educated to have “eyes to see” so to speak, they don’t know what it is nor how to get there so they go on the path of least resistance and take what is offered to them

My 401k is crazy right now (not bragging) I could go dip in it and get a super nice car but what will be the purpose? It's not fulfilling anything.

Alot of extremely grown people got life fukked up.
Broke nikka babble. If you have to dip in your 401k you don't got it. Especially after all the penalties you would get hit with...:mjlol:

I have always dressed nice. Sometimes I do buy nice things but I do sometimes buy my Jeans or shirts from J.C Penny's.

I'm honest with myself and not ashamed that I live a decent regular life. My 401k is crazy right now (not bragging) I could go dip in it and get a super nice car but what will be the purpose? It's not fulfilling anything.

Again you have to look at the beginning to understand the middle and end
That’s why I tell people that if you ever procreate
Using the tools your parents used as discipline
Have long lasting effects on children
Shaming
Corporal Punishment
And many other forms of disciplinary actions
Cause many kids to end up being shy, complacent, angry, project and completely make up lives because the feelings of inadequacy
You also have to understand that while certain fashion trends are acceptable now
Being a kid in the 80s/90s and constantly getting roasted at the school house only fuels a persons desire to stunt in the future
So they end up being victims of consumerism and I got it now mentality
Let me stunt on these little nikkas or people from my past
Not understanding it’s only hurting you as an individual not the people around you
That’s why that therapist thread was disheartening because both men and women need the help to unwind their pasts
So seeing a licensed professional talking cash shyt about her clients keeps people living in this perpetual circle of childhood trauma
See I ain’t about to be embarrassed by some stranger
God will fix it
Everything we do is a cycle that benefits the machine but coli nikkas ain’t trying to hear that

I refinanced my mortgage in January and got a rate of like 2.35% when my credit was high as shyt so I only pay $1330. I woulda got $1100 but my debt to income ratio was iffy so I have to pay mortgage insurance for 10 years first. It was $1600 and was gonna keep going higher before I refinanced.
