So,

The Benjamin thread for me thinking...We talk a lot about WWE's missed opportunities to push a black superstar as the face or a face of the company, outside of the fame Booker T and The Rock (I am NOT HAVING THAT CONVERSATION HERE) achieved, who do you think has been WWE's biggest missed opportunities? Killings? MVP? never signing Jay lethal? fukking things up with Lashley?

And for my white people's and euros in here, while I appreciate your general TSC contributions, I'm curious as to the opinions of my fellow black folks in here..Don't be bothered.

Shelton

Went from beating Triple H, having a classic with HBK..... to starring in that What's Goin Down episode of 'That's My Mama'
The teaser pushes of Kofi, Shelton, and Henry, where they are jobber-to-the-stars for a month vs Orton, HHH, Cena are really disheartening because you see what they COULD have been.

Easily Lashley, if they had him right now as opposed to when he first came up, he would be a huge star, they pushed him too much too soon before he was ready.
As a potential credible main eventer, hell yes. I did NOT like Lashley then because of his bad promos, but again, the WWE promo machine does not favor these guys.

He is 100% done there unless doot-doot-doot leaves right?

Honestly if the money was right I'm sure he'd go back there, but as good as he is now I don't know if WWE would break the bank for him. He's not such a hot name in the wrestling world that they need to

Lashley needed a manager in the worst way back then cuz his voice was ridiculous, but I feel like if he had a manager, he would've needed to be a heel.

I think from a character standpoint, MVP was the biggest missed opportunity. He could cut promos, had a definable character, and after some time became solid in the ring plus the VIP Lounge is one of the few Piper's Pit babies that is actually tolerable. The losing streak was terrible idea especially when everyone knows that MVP worked best as the loud mouth cocky heel and those guys can't afford too many losses.

I would go with MVP. He had the ability to draw you in via his promos, but he could also keep you intrigued with his matches. I'd say that if he had the type of high profile angles/feuds that Lashley had, he'd been huge.

That MVP shyt was a WOAT burial. And I agree. MVP could've been as big as a lot of guys like Orton and others. I use RVD as an example for at least what MVP, Kofi, and Benjamin could've been.
