I'd have to say Lashley seems like the most believable, if we're talking marquee larger-than-life guys that'd draw in casuals.

I was watching sparingly when he was around, but hearing about his feats made me look clips up or tune in without knowing much about where he came from or who he was. Always saw him as a replacement for Lesnar and people who were casual fans (I was in college at this point) would always bring him up when I had my job in the gym. Dude definitely had the type of first-impression to draw money.

Most definitely Lashley and MVP like others have already said. Though older, MVP had everything you wanted in a big time dude, but they crippled him with a losing streak gimmick. Lashley was underwhelming at promos, but did everything else right. He's the complete package now, just wish that happened while he was in the WWE. The video package detailing Lashley vs Cena was fantastic.

Lashley because of him being that big guy that Vince likes and becoming a legit badass ten years later, there's some big money matches on the table if he were to come back.

Truth's heel turn had promise but two months later they turned him into this weird comedy heel, kinda regained credibility with Awesome Truth but after that he just went nowhere. He could've easily had a run with the WHC.

What they did with Mark was so disappointing, he had one of the best comeback stories in wrestling, become a serious monster heel, beating Orton (#2 face in the WWE at the time) clean for the title. Then in 2013, he had one of the best swerves maybe ever and nothing became of it.

Another mention has to go to Kofi Kingston, he got this big push in 2009 feuding with Orton but he never got a title match out of it, shyt was :dwillhuh: he was getting big reaction during that time too.

Kofi should be RVD at least. Dude is great, works well, sells well, does clean spots, and kills it at every mitb and rumble. He is amazing and so slept on.

This is why I like for other companies besides WWE to have TV deals. For all the faults TNA and ROH have, they are not scared of giving a black wrestler a push if he's got the skills.

We'll probably have a black LU champ before we get another black WWE champ.
Ricochet (Prince Puma) is half-black, they just have him pretending to be a mute Mexican under a mask :heh:

mark henry in his prime
r-truth in his prime and when he was younger
ahmed johnson
farooq - but he had a decent run. he should of been the world champion. i'm still pissed off that he got jumped by Nation of Domination
i hate to say it but i don't think big e is gonna get run at the title unless he departs from the new day group and becomes more of a serious character
