mvp should have been the black version of Edge dude was complete as all hell could talk, wrestle the wwe heel style, had ready to go merch in gloves, fake costume jewelry, head bands

he just didn't have a flashy baller gimmick he brought that shyt/persona to life:noah:

mvp being draft to raw and feuding with cena calming to be RAW/WWE's new number one franchise player and cena's replacement :banderas:

they wasted mvp:sadbron: dude should have been the black Edge he had every thing they wanted in a top 4 company heel except his melanin count being too high:mjpls:

You guys already nailed all of the ones i would've mentioned. I'm thinking who's ripe for a push now before it's too late? My immediate thoughts are Kofi and Big E. I look at New Day as the Black Freebirds and Kofi/E are definitely the Buddy/Gordy of the group work wise. They have also shown with this run that their personalities can captivate on a large scale. After this WM hosting it might be time to push towards them both main eventing. Especially Kofi as i know he is older.

On another note, Lashley could be a huge deal if brought back in now. Since his time away he's become a legit performer. In ring, heel mic work, mma background etc. Really upped his game to a main event level. Was one of my fav wrestlers last year and I never thought that'd be possible.

Lastly, Keith Lee in Evolve. Dude is huge and hugely skilled. He's a little raw(shaq) but I think he has major potential as long as he isn't saddled with a dumb gimmick upon his arrival.

Tldr; Kofi and E can still make it happen. Lashley if brought back is ready as well. Keith Lee is the future.

This is why I like for other companies besides WWE to have TV deals. For all the faults TNA and ROH have, they are not scared of giving a black wrestler a push if he's got the skills.

We'll probably have a black LU champ before we get another black WWE champ.

:patrice:

Already happened. Ricochet was LU's first champ.

I wasn't watching during Lashely and barely during MVP/Shelton. I remember the Matt and MVP feud that was dope and Shelton beating HHH might be the best win for a black wrestler in the E..and that was what 12 years ago :snoop:

Henry's Hall of Pain run was dope and shows they used him wrong most of his career. Other companies use black wrestlers so much better.

Lashley is the biggest missed opportunity. He could've been the black Lesnar, but they gave him a mic and let him speak (something they protect Brock from) and it killed his WWE career.

Why was Lashley not given a manager like Heyman? They both fukked up, I think the E could've made a lot of money with Lashley.

That's the thing that gets me....MVP was way more talented than edge...Edge got like 10 different pushes...

LU had a black champ with Prince Puma, also WWE could've been signed Jay Lethal and now they offered him a bullshyt contact which he declined.

What killed Truth really was the wellness pop, Truth and Miz being blamed for low buyrate.

Even after being fed to Cena (at least let the title change hands before he's fed to the top babyface), Truth and Miz still had their heat until enter low buyrate+wellness pop = split up tag team & the black guy becomes Comedy Jobber For Life A.K.A Santino

Lashley. I had stopped watching wrestling when he was around so I only know from the little I've seen so I'm mainly going by his TNA work.

Mark Henry. When he faked his retirement he was gold especially with his catch phrase "BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I DO!!!!"

Shelton Benjamin. If they could have put the belt on Benoit who couldn't talk then he should have gotten the title.

Faarooq. Could have been at least a transitional champion in early 1997. From January 1997 to March 1997 the title changed hands four times. Could have given him at least one shot. Could wrestle, was a bad ass, and could have been a good heel to piss off the neckbeards.

Titus O'Neil. Can't really wrestle but had charisma and was big. Of course the suspension and when he started talking killed his chances.

Only person I think could be legit would be Big E but he would have to leave New Day and wrestler more seriously.
