Kendrick has two albums and a mixtape he debuted in 2009 you're comparing him to an artist who's been around for like 15 years. The discographies aren't even comparable right now.

Also, you have already said you dislike Kendrick so how can you even have an objective opinion of this? Have you even listened to Kendrick's discography all his projects are great and his subject matter can't be knocked he has touched on many different subjects. His skills can't be knocked he's an elite lyricist and has a great flow his only minus is his voice.

I've never heard a Brother Ali song better than this IMO.

That's the whole point, Brother Ali's discography is MUCH better and it's not comparable, and how else do you define who is better? So that's why I pick Brother Ali. Will respond to the rest in a bit.

I don't remember saying I disliked Kendrick? I remember saying I wasn't a fan, because I'm not. But when I listened to his music I was very open minded and objective, infact I was expecting something really dope cause two of my friends who are Hip Hop heads told me to check it and they liked his shyt, so I was expecting something ill but was let down. So that's how my opinion was objective as I listened objectively, with nothing against Kendrick. Anyway just cause you don't like something doesn't mean your opinion wasn't formed objectively. I've listened to every song on Kendrick's projects multiple times, cause I was trying to get what the hype was, but it was a big let down. I think Brother Ali's subject matter is much better and he is better in pretty much every way. I don't think he is an elite lyricist or has a great flow, is flow can be cool but lyrically he is often very overrated to me. Cool, well that's opinion so can't really argue against that but there's countless Brother Ali songs I think are much better.

Kendrick lamar, he has better albums, better flows, better subject matter and I prefer him as a lyricist.

don't even know why I'm commenting this thread when I see the corny stanning of ruler 90

Brother Ali is extremely average to me, I don't see the hype.

1 of the reasons I made this was to see how much people are caught up in fame and hype rather than quality. Proves the sheep mentality, as Brother Ali is MUCH better. You don't see the hype cause there is no HYPE behind Brother Ali, he's just a quality artist, yet you see the value in Kendrick DUE to the hype.

can't take this thread seriously as op is spamming as if it was an appreciation thread.

Ali is one of my favorite rapper but kendrick's 2 albums are arguably better than any single brother ali project. Quality>>>>>>Quantity

Ali's albums as a whole aren't as cohesive as GKMC & s80 thematically or stylistically. I also found Kendrick's style more refined, emotional, and powerful.

Ali is like a lyricist with traditional bars but I find kendrick's lyricism to be more powerful, he's a poet who paints pictures lyrically and says a lot of things with very few words.

Just my 2 cents... I'd take Kendrick over Ali even though Ali is one of my favorite rappers. #Objectivity.

I don't consider kdot a goat like Nas or Lupe but I'd take him over brother ali any day of the week. He found the balance between "being lyrical" & "being technical". Brother Ali lets me down every time he drops an album, he isn't saying anything when he raps, dude is rhyming for the sake of it.

That's ridiculous, I don't see how you can say that, he has a huge amount of content in his work. I don't even understand that comment lol. Unless you haven't listened properly...

I gave all his albums several listens. he isn't doing it for me, I compare him to Tech n9ne or a modern Eminem, these artists who ain't saying shyt when they rhyme
