There are so many cold lines on this albums it is truly amazing how he is able to continue doing this. I have said this before but he has really mastered the ≀12 song album. I have always favored the "little to no features" approach to albums as I want to hear your message rather than your plus all your friends/ cohorts.

Preservation came through on this LP. From 1200 BC to "DWDYL", they could be done by two different producers and "DWDYL" could be Ka if you didn't know any better. It's exceptional when producers are able to mold themselves to the emcee and yet still impart their characteristics unique to themselves.

Day 777 is amazing. The same with Day 70. This along with the rest of Ka's catalog rewards you with each successive listen. I am so happy that his catalog continues to grow. Now you can rotate albums and get something different. Iron Works to Grief to Night's Gambit to 1200 to DWDYL. The trajectory is constantly upwardly trending.
I'm really glad I got the chance to speak with him. It lends even more gravitas to his music. Ka & Preservation are really something special. I hope they reunite for a round two and three and beyond.
