Since a lot of the guys he fought and sparred with like Chuck NOrris , MIke Stone, and Jim Kelly were point karate guys. I do believe he fought like that, because that is what he was actually around.
He never really fought beyond whatever was posted here.
He was an actor first, then a guy who trained and created his own martial arts philosophy, then Asians piggybacked off him and inflated him into a legend.
He was most certainly overrated, as most legends are, he was more so an icon of Asian/Chinese/cinema pride, rather than a legitimate fighter.

He had a fried nervous system from crude, early electro stimulation devices, but primarily because he took a downer while he was bugging out off too many lines (while cheating on his wife mind you).People forget he missed the first few days of shooting on ‘Enter the dragon’, because he was holed up with a few eight balls. I love when people think fighters are some stoic people are on a mountain practicing semen retention and meditating. Most of these dudes are closest to Jon Jones than they are say GSP. You're right about Bruce Lee, most people don't know that and as much as I love him Muhammad Ali was a sex addict, had orgies and cheated on his wives like it was his Job, we all know about Tyson. Fighters are wild mother fukkers, tho it's art to it at the end of the day they do a Savage beastly sport so I don't know what people expect from them. This is why a lot of Jon Jones hate is annoying like do y'all not know the history of most fighters

Bruce looked noticeably bigger to me in Return of the Dragon/Way of the Dragon than a few months later when he filmed Enter the Dragon. Could’ve been nothing, but I wonder if the weight loss was due to some illness and/or his drug problem.
Also, just 2 months before his death, he had been taken to the hospital after collapsing.
I don’t believe in any conspiracy, but I have always thought that Brandon Lee’s death was pretty eerie with its coincidences. Bruce’s character in Game on Death (shameless money grab of a movie) gets shot the same way Brandon died. He’s supposed to be shot by blanks, but gets hit with a real bullet (by the villain).
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story has a supernatural subplot in it. Someone tells his character “if you don’t fight this, this curse will hurt your kids”. And right around this time when the movie came out in the theatres, Brandon got killed filming The Crow.
The filming of The Crow was horrible all the way through. There were a lot of accidents on set. It then went from shytshow to tragedy.

I remember once making a list of my favorite boxers all time and realized that about half of them had histories of abusing women.
Kind of depressing.
