Probably the only time I believed Vince was actually legit emotional over someone's death was Eddie's.

Target Center during that tribute smackdown was a rough place to be, I don't remember seeing anyone that wasn't crying in there.

Especially when they showed Benoit breaking down while talking about Eddie

Eddie G was tiny as shyt. I'll never forget attending a WCW nitro in 97 when they came to sacramento, and after the show me, my pops, and my friend were waiting in the parking lot looking to get some autographs and pics. As we were standing, either DDP or someone else emerged in the distance, and me and my boy went running off in his direction.

As we were running, we almost ran into these two guys who were leaving the arena. When we returned back to where my pops was standing he said. "you guys almost ran into Eddy Guerrero and Chris Jericho!". He said none of the fans noticed who they were, because they were so goddamn tiny (especially Eddy G). They just blended in with the crowd. My pops had to look real hard at him to confirm it was Eddy, because he couldnt believe he was so short in real life.

I was only 12 at the time, and I remember he was barely taller than me.

Edit: BTW, y'all should subscribe to the podcast that quote is excerpted from. Its called "Something to wrestle with" w/ Bruce Pritchard. Basically, the host gives Bruce a topic (say the megapowers angle and breakup), and Bruce gives all kinds of inside stories about it for an hour or two. Its great if you love old school stories and discussion, since Bruce was an executive in the E forever. The host is good, and presses him for genuine answers. The same guy from the flair podcasts.

Just bookmarked his shyt, gotta check it out

Eddie's death legit hurt my feelings when I found out he passed away. It really made me completely done from following pro-wrestling. WWE wasn't sh_t after that to me. It took me awhile to get back into the wrestling. :mjcry:

My whole family at the time dug Eddie. He was THAT dude.:mjcry:

Thats my Piffsburgh breh:mjcry:

We tend to take L's:mjcry:

Few and far in between though...but Shane Douglas is one of the few unfortunate. Only thing he ever did memorable in his career was that initial ECW promo when he threw down the NWA belt
