Yeah, not impressed by someone using common sense.

Person - "1+1=2"
Black people -":blessed: too real breh"

This isnt a knock to him either.

The thing is, it's not really common. If it was common then innocent, unarmed black folks would be safe in the presence of police. If it was common, you wouldn't get the push back that you do from so many people that are mostly in Bruce's demographic. Bruce is a rich, and famous, white man in America...he could very easily be detached from this. For most people like him, common sense is "You pull yourself up by the bootstraps. Slavery was 200 years ago. If you don't do anything wrong the police won't have any reason to bother you." For someone that could easily blow the shyt off to not only acknowledge it but to also acknowledge the intellectual dishonesty of his own ilk is far from common and most certainly real.

You are trying to re define what common sense is. Majority of Americans do not practice common sense, and Im def not going to congratulate people for doing they should already be doing. Its like me giving you props for flushing the toilet after taking a dump. It's what youre supposed to do if you consider a sane human.

So how is it still common sense then? What is common for rich white folks isn't the same as whats common for the rest of us. Bruce could probably get someone to flush the toilet for him if he wanted. It takes a certainly level of honesty and openness and realness and involvement for someone that is not directly affected by injustice and actually has benefited from injustice and could benefit way more if they chose to, to acknowledge that injustice. Everybody, even a lot of black folks, don't have that in them. You are right in that everyone should recognize and acknowledge the truth, even if it's uncomfortable or makes people of your ilk look bad, but the reality is that it's a rarity. Just because something should be common doesn't mean we should just dismiss it as common when it clearly isn't.

its interesting that the board roasted mary for singing that song to hillary, but it was actually this crackers song
It was how she did it. She seemed like a straight up bootlicking, suck up trick. It was kinda...I mean like Roland Martin doing the wobble. Lots of folks don't approach Hillary like equals,
they come at her like they are beneath her, and its a huge turnoff.

Don't waste time explaining anything to him.

Oh I hear you. She could have sang Amazing Grace and I still would have felt a little disappointed. Stop singing and dancing with the chick and get some answers out of her.

Never thought I would take up this position but man...it seems like the black voting populace ain't getting what we need, and the black folks in a position to ask questions can't help
but dab or do some footwork while asking questions that lead nowhere.

There's nothing 'natural' about having to tell, proclaim, or convince people that another group of people's lives matter.

The 'natural' response to 100s of years of injustice would be to remove oneself from the people that refuse to act justly.

Nothing of substance was said in that article
