True. I was wondering why there were so many Nice homes in that area of Englewood where this shooting took place. I did a Google Map Hoyne Ave, and the homes around/near that corner store are actually kinda nice. Middle-class/working class neighborhood with nice homes. All the project babies and the gangs that used to live in the Cabrini-Green and Robert Taylors, probably have conflict with some of the originals and other gangs in the area. Sad situation all around. I wonder how low the crime-rate was in that area of Englewood/Gage Park before they tore down all those projects.

englewood has been a crime ridden neighborhood since white people were living there. some of the cribs might look fine but that doesn't mean anything

I have relatives in englewood and its been fukked up.

Only difference is back in the 90's/early 00's their block was TURNT now their block is half abandoned and boarded up

about a month ago one of the young nikkas who i know got shot for the 2nd time.

over the past 2 years all his homies have been getting killed, so its only him and 2 other nikkas left.

so I sit down with dude one day, and told him he fighting a battle he can't win, and that he needs to move out of stl.

dude got family in cali that would take him in, i even offer to buy the nikka a bus ticket out of town.

he wasn't trying to hear any of that tho.
