Yup. I heard Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia just to name a few states. Hell here in Michigan, they said East Lansing had elevated levels of lead in their water, and that's a more affluent area than Flint.Yeah, there is no way Snyder should have walked away without some jail time or punishment at all. As far as fixing the problem I'm at a loss because there should have been an influx of funds to attack this problem immediately. I think part of the reason it hasn't been fixed is because there are more cities with the same problem. I heard a story on NPR about a week or two ago that stated that many cities and towns face this same issue (perhaps not as severe a level of lead) and it would expose a huge problem of governmental neglect.
He also fukked up the state's unemployment system. He had switched the system to an automated one, and it flagged me and 50,000 other people for fraud. Folks had their wages garnished, or tax refunds intercepted for as much as $20,000.
They hit me for almost $15,000. This money "allegedly" went into a fund to help with the state's budget, but the public schools, roads and infrastructure is still shytty and getting worse.
Folks here are livid that c*nt Betsy DeVos was picked to be the Secretary Of Education despite having no experience, and for her hand in obliterating the public school system in urban areas throughout the state. I know folks on here like to shyt on people that live in the suburbs, but up here, there's been a MASSIVE shift to the suburbs by everybody so that their kids can have a better shot at a quality education.
In some cases they have no choice cuz these schools are closing left and right. She has a
attitude towards public education in favor or these trash ass for profit charter schools. shyt is a damn mess brehs and brehettes.
