This is actually quite true. The most welcoming mixed women I know had black fathers who they admired. The ones with white fathers or non-present black fathers are usually standoffish towards black men and have a negative disposition.
You can learn a lot about a women by knowing her relationship to her father. If a women grew up with a strong black man in the household she'll generally seek out a strong black male for relationships.
