This...hes one of the very few that's actually making something worth listening to in the mainstream..shyt like that latest tory lanez album was trash and the quick snippets of that new weeknd album I heard didnt sound promising either
I literally thought the same thing. I grew to become a Bruno fan but never crossed my mind he was on par with MJ or Prince.i dont think i ever heard anyone compare him to mike or prince

I don’t have a problem with Bruno. All these black artists out here and none of them went in the lane he’s in even though we started it. White folks can come in and drop a ballad and get on black radio with no problem
black folks got to put sing over trap beats or recreations of old r&b songs just to get on radio smh.. and you got to get Cardi B or somebody to feature. Maybe if sone of these “there’s good music, you just have to find it” artists actually got radio play, shyt would be different. There’s so many good artists getting overlooked and forgotten. Meanwhile you got songs with chicks literally making noises over the beat killing radio.

It's Black artists doing all that shyt and nobody checking for em. We in an era where you can self promote easy if there is an audience for you.
If the audience isn't showing up for these artists is because they not looking for it. It's not in demand. Labels won't market something without demand in this era. People are stuck on SZA, summer walker type shyt. Thot rnb is the wave.
