The irony is that you are actually making my point when it comes to idiotic fan criticism. That guy who has a full career sample size should not be diminished compared to a guy who's career who's book is not fully written yet. Brunon could have the same exact arc as Carmelo, but people never learn with outlandish praise while diminishing a hall of famer

Just a week ago when Knicks beat the Celtics, multiple Knicks fans on podcasts and on ESPN were saying Brunson is "already a better Knick than Patrick Ewing". These idiotic comments should be exposed for everyone to see and not be backtracked like you are doing

BRUNSON HAS WON 4 PLAYOFF
SERIES AS A KNICK IN 3 SEASONS
WHILE MELO WON 1 IN 7 SEASONS.

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS
FOR THE REST OF HIS CAREER
HES ALREADY ECLIPSED MELO
AS A KNICK

I do find it funny that Melo was tagged as a "relic of the ball stopper early 2000s era who doesn't play smart basketball" while Brunson is lauded by NBA media as this revolutionary player that raises the ceiling of the Knicks :pachaha: :dead:

Breh a lot of these people — here and in real life — are the same ones who thought Jeremy Lin was Pope John Paul II status after 10 games.

So Brunson appearing to be somewhat competent had people overlooking things like this team being the basketball version of the Mets.

That win over the Celtics was a very Mets thing but rolling the dice on flukes and a small surge of momentum isn’t something that’s in a playbook.

There was a point where ownership was a convenient excuse but it’s coming down to:

- coaching
- players who aren’t superstars and never were
- extreme hype that is pure vaporware

Brunson will never get the criticism like melo cuz he was a 2nd draft pick. Is only 6 ft tall and is a leader
This.

Brunson is like Brock Purdy or some shyt. Anything he does is going to be viewed through the underdog lens.

Both won nattys in college but Melo was 6'8" and viewed as the type of breh that could be flirting with All-Time GOAT status. Brunson was never and will never be viewed like that.

Melo also destroyed the knicks not wanting to play the 4 anymore after his best season in 2013. It made the Knicks trade for Bargnani:snoop:

Brunson a great player but a bad PG. His ball stoppin, shotclock eatin, bad defense playin style the biggest reason they down this series.

Every Knick this game had a positive +/- except Brunson who was -6 in 31 minutes. Bein the only player in a 9 man rotation in minus wit that many minutes don't even make sense but it matches eye test

If Knicks won challenge for that 5th foul they probably lose the game and go down 0-3. But challenge unsuccessful and Brunson had to sit his ass on the bench. Ball movement looked way better, Knicks was rollin went on a big run to come back and take lead led by KAT, bench players in a rhythm. Same shyt was happenin start of 4th in game 1 and then they imploded when Brunson checked back in the game. They would be up 2-1 if he was in foul trouble game 1 or just benched in the 4th. He a great player his iso style works in playoffs but in this series he's been a big problem for the Knicks arguably their biggest.

shyt is crazy ain’t it? That’s why I couldn’t care less about the narratives around players. I trust my own opinion and keep it moving.
