Business went up when he was the top guy compared to when the Rebel was champion and pushed on top..until that Rock match at Rumble 2013.
Yea he had potential. Business can go up and that shows he could be a draw. I didnt say he was a bum. Hes a good wrestler who could bring in people and was popular. Im not denying that.

But he still failed. He was given the ball and fumbled.

I don’t know if this is a good argument as to why Bryan shouldn’t be a top guy.

Its the only argument that matters. Which is why vince made it.

If ya top guy cant go night after night how can he be the top guy.

Now instead of being a draw for aew he chooses to do 15 min mayches with nobodies. Why? Bryan should have been THE guy at aew with all that money wwe put into him. but instead settled into what hes doing now.

Hes not the guy

Can we have the discussion that Vince never organically created a single star that could draw money for his company?

Hogan- Poached from AWA and was a star before his second wwf run
Macho Man- Star before signing
Austin- Put him as a midcarder with Ted Welfare stealing dollar man dibiase before Austin had to come up with his own character
Rocky- Corny blue chipper babyface gimmick. Had that man coming to the ring with a pineapple Jheri curl and sonic green hill zone level gear. Rock had to come up with his own gimmick
Cena- Was about to get cut before Steph heard him rap. More credit goes to her than Vince
Reigns- threatened to leave after getting hog slopped like it was 1996. Came up with his own gimmick

LOL @ organically .. this is such BULLshyt, with the exception of Hulk Hogan, and maybe i will give you Macho even though he was in an outlaw federation and then Memphis for a while but the REST of what your saying is nonsense

If Vince had things his way WWF would've been running on Diesel Power all through the 90s. He had to get dragged kicking and screaming into Austin after seeing him as just a "Good hand."

Vince is Jerry Jones with better hair. Excels at marketing/branding everything else can be questioned.

What Bill Parcells once said about LoPan the exact quote applies to Vince.

What you have to do is make sense to him. "You've got to make sense to him. If he thinks you're making sense, he'll alter his opinion.

Vince was a master of promotion more than creative. Everyone in the biz has talked about how to this day he still wants to turn everyone into 80s Hogan which speaks to Bryan

At the time, Vince was hated for forcing Roman to be the guy over Bryan. Now, TSC unanimously loves Roman and consider him the top guy. So, Vince was right but let's find ways to avoid that.
You are acting like everything that lead to Roman finally breaking through was part of any plan Vince had in 2014. That's disingenuous as fukk breh :dead:

Creative means nothing if you don't know how to market or promote in the wrestling are you watching AEW right now to not understand how marketing and promoting is much bigger than creative. If nobody cares or has any interest in you then creative means nothing.

Roman didn't become where he is now until he forced Vince to do things his way...under Vince's direction, Roman was floundering :mjlol:

In some fukked up way, him getting injured was a blessing in disguise. His title reign was already off to a bad start with the Kane feud, and Cena getting squashed at SummerSlam made Lesnar look like a way bigger deal. If Bryan lasted that long, it could have ended up being one of the WOAT title reigns.

Can't be worse than CAWdy.

If your idea is that the tribal chief/Bloodline gimmick starting in 2021 that presents Roman as way above other wrestlers would've worked and got over like it did without the years of superpush, I dont see it.

If he spent years in an LA Knight or Seth Rollins spot, him being positioned as some unbeatable force probably wouldn't have worked like it did. Roman's aura from almost never losing and beating top guys is how he can do that entrance and it works.

Just another example of Vince being right.

Bryan couldn’t even be the top guy in AEW for fukks sake.

He’s a great technical wrestler, but not “the guy”, Vince was right.

Bryan isn't the long-term fit for a World Title. His character doesn't inspire awe, but he had the ability to put on great World Title matches.

I treated him like Angle, if you can't even get a good match with Kurt or Bryan, you really didn't belong in the WWE.
