Yea he had potential. Business can go up and that shows he could be a draw. I didnt say he was a bum. Hes a good wrestler who could bring in people and was popular. Im not denying that.

But he still failed. He was given the ball and fumbled.

Its the only argument that matters. Which is why vince made it.

If ya top guy cant go night after night how can he be the top guy.

Now instead of being a draw for aew he chooses to do 15 min mayches with nobodies. Why? Bryan should have been THE guy at aew with all that money wwe put into him. but instead settled into what hes doing now.

Hes not the guy

Man you saying all this like Vince didn’t put Daniel Bryan back in the main event of wrestlemania AFTER returning from retirement

:bryan:

If he’s not a top guy then Vince just throwing whoever in the main event scene huh…

And Bryan loving to put every wrestler over and dealing with AEW blunders doesn’t equate to him not being top guy material

I don’t know but your qualifications on being a top guy isn’t mine.

Let's be honest about everything.

Bryan Danielson is legitimately one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, both in the ring, as a character, etc. he's awesome, and true all timer. He gets crowds excited and is a great baby face and heel.

He is not a draw. He has been at the top of companies as they've sunk and sunk in ratings multiple times. He does not grow the business when he is champion. We have seen this :hubie:.

Both things can be true.

Bryan is an elite talent and he can deliver MOMENTS that make you remember why you love this business.

Bryan is NOT the guy you send on press junkets and TV shows for the majority of the year because he's too authentic, too honest, and doesn't fit in a corporate setting. He'll come out of Good Morning America with the execs in his ear like

"Daniel WTF do you mean we support veganism and sustainable products?! Muthafukka have you seen our sponsors? We slinging beef jerky and Brock's line of buffalo steaks! I'm not even going to touch that condemnation of Donald, Twitter and TikTok are already memeing our entire executive board at Mar A Lago. Get your ass back to HQ and Hell no (No Kane) you can't bike there so don't ask again."

He'd have this company in shambles, banned from Saudi inside a week. :deadrose:

I agree he's not a draw but the only company he was truly "on top" of was ROH, which had such small business that him doing well for them doesn't really mean anything at all.

Would he have actually drawn money if WWE puts their full promoting power behind him? I think he probably does better than what he ended up doing, but I don't think he would've been a big difference maker either.

In AEW he got a "thank you" title reign that lasted 1 month and everyone knew he was going to lose it at the next PPV :pachaha:

LOL @ organically .. this is such BULLshyt, with the exception of Hulk Hogan, and maybe i will give you Macho even though he was in an outlaw federation and then Memphis for a while but the REST of what your saying is nonsense

FOH. Vince idea of good creative and characters is slop matches and saying Lawler has anal bleeding. His biggest stars happened despite him

Man I don’t give a fukk about ratings or what not

All I know is the crowd loved Daniel Bryan, he put on great match after great match and he could actually cut good face and heel promos and just off that he deserved his runs as champ

If he were coming up right now, we know he would be in the world heavyweight picture constantly alongside Gunther, Rollins, etc and he would probably get booked much better than he did under Vince

at least the person who took the title off bryan in aew has gone onto a generational run with it.
Sad thing about it is that, even as shytty as Moxley's reign has been, it's actually been a better draw in terms of PPV buys and ratings than Danielson's was.

Another example of promotion being so important. Mox's whole angle and reign was built on the back of Danielson's popularity. He tried to kill him twice on PPV and was put over clean :dead:

In some fukked up way, him getting injured was a blessing in disguise. His title reign was already off to a bad start with the Kane feud, and Cena getting squashed at SummerSlam made Lesnar look like a way bigger deal. If Bryan lasted that long, it could have ended up being one of the WOAT title reigns.

Vjnce buried the reign purposefully.

What part did you miss of rhe interview.

He wasnt. He proved that by being given his chance and backyard wrestling himself into injury over and over while on top.

Guy came back from a neck\head injury throwing headbutts day one and landing on bis head over and over.

Guys like him critiscize top guys for not working hard yet he got his wakeup call like they all had (eddie g) when the belts on and its time to run and be the guy who reps the company… HE couldn't keep up.

Vince purposefully buried the reign my guy.

Daniel bryan had to assimilate so hardcore into wwe workrate.
Bryan never established much psychology or workrate like any of the matches that brought him to the dance.

It is a considerable difference in rants detail and length. From Bryan's early career to his www career.
