Because he won the MVP last year? That's it?

If Puig did all those extras, got thrown out of the game, then came back on the field during the celebration to say 'fukk YOU' to the umpire like Harper did, cacs would've gone into DEFCON-5 mode and demanded he be banned from the sport and maybe imprisoned for assault.

Even as someone who usually sides with players I think this was an appropriate response by the league office.

Trout is a Top 2 player. And that's only if you prefer a stud pitcher over a position player.

That's not the same level, unless you somehow think that the 19th best player and the 11th best player are on even terms.

Breh, they're BOTH top 10 players and that is the same level. There are hundreds of players breh and those two are top 10. Bottom line.

Harper has more power.
Trout is the better overall hitter, the better fielder, the better baserunner, the better base stealer (although the Angels won't let him steal anymore)...and is the better teammate and man off the field...which may not matter to you guys but having played with douchebags in my life, I'll take the guy who is great and nice to be around over the guy who is great but is an a$$hole.

Trout hits for higher average.
Trout never got into a fight with a teammate. Harper did.
Trout never cussed out fans. Harper did.

And as far as more off-the-field stuff, I have a buddy in Arizona who's connected to a number of clubs (he used to work for the Mariners, Royals and Rangers franchises) who has relayed some stories. As well as a sports writer in Jersey who knows Harper and his family back since his dad was parading his son at a 16 year old who's shared some more stories. And my uncle in DR is an agent who signs and scouts players on the island, sells memorabilia from time to time, and has connections to lots of retirees and ballplayers on the island and hears things about everyone. So while you might not care, I'll take their word for it.

On the flip side, Bryce Harper's teammate Stephen Strasburg? All around great guy.
