i wasnt too impressed off a first listen but it's growing on me
with the standout songs of course

After listening closely last night
There was someone here who said he uses the same drum pattern, that is correct. On at least 11 or 12 songs he uses the same pattern whether its loud or low pitched in the background its there.
As for why it sounds like one really long song with just the beat switching...there's no pausing between songs.
On a regular r&b album or hell any album really when the song ends there's 2-4 seconds of complete silence indicating the next song is coming on. This album doesn't have that, and it wouldn't be a problem if this was a concept album and he was telling a single story song to song but he's not.

Album didn't really kick in till like track 8 with Self Made ...
Those first couple songs were just bad songwriting ....
His range is just subpar but I expected that ... but he went off on those last couple songs
Still a good project though.

I like Tiller more than most of the new cats. Him and Tee Grizzley are the best young cats doing it.

This shyt is a modern classic to me.
My thought is that people thought he was a totally difrent type of artist based on his first album, and were expecting a turnup album here. This album is soulful. Man this shyt has some gotdamn BALLADS
