Bryson Tiller Type Beat - Please Come Back (prod. by TheHitKingz)

Just got thru starting this beat with my crew member Showdown Beatz.

Let me know what you guys think of this new concept beat we are making in the style of Bryson Tiller.



For this beat, we used a Donkey Kong sample from one of the Super Nintendo Games and we are building the beat around the sample.

This style is completely new to me, so let me get some suggestions on how to improve it.

-main snare needs some reverb....or layer it with another snare.....just sounds kinda flat/dry
-not diggin the extra background synth you brought in around 1:01, for what seems like the chorus part?
-maybe throw another pad or keyboard in there underneath to play the chords to beef up the track a bit
-and also on the chorus, maybe add in another set of rolling hi-hats maybe panned left or right(or both) to speed it up & give the chorus a different feel from the verse

it's a good idea overall though, and I can hear someone singing over the verses in that BT style for sure.
