so whats the point of making music on a major than cot damn it, music game is fuked up

In this new era, you almost have to think of albums/mixtapes as promo for an individual artist. Promo to gain popularity for upcoming tours and other ancillary ways to earn income. Albums are just the starting point now, not the end all be all that they were even 5 years ago.

its crazy, but good luck to the up n comers, best thing they can do is make a home studio and get their shyt together and start eating good from early.

indie method is the only way to go unless its just local fame you are looking for.
there are so many levels of the rap game that people will be happy with.
as long as you getting whatever you're really after......

look at all the cats in the game now on a "major" or having some "mainstream success"- they regular people too. A lot of them struggling to keep their sh-t together despite their "riches"....

Buckshot and Dru Ha operate more like an indie rock label but with a hiphop persepctive- droppin gems.
