he ain't lying tho

is basketball a white thing cause white guys started it?

is karaoke an Asian thing meaning we can't do it too?

the nba has been structured to make white people comfortable for years even though the game is 95% black:russ:....well hiphop started and stops with black people so why the fukk we cant make up rules to make us comfortable:mjpls:?Until black culture stops being the standard for "cool:myman:" in America I don't see much of a threat of us being ousted out of hiphop...black culture is the only thing that keeps them from being able to bogard this shyt....the more souless, and whitewashed and blended we become with white people over time, and the more culture we lose by blending the more in danger it becomes of being an artform anybody can jump into...but all that said Jamar I don't recall said white people couldn't do it,props to RA for getting it:salute:..its really not racist outside of white peoples egos cant handle it:mjpls:

i don't understand why that was such a taboo comment for jamar to make, or where the confusion comes in with it

hip hop is black music, :what:...how can you say it's not? why is it such a big deal saying that it is in the first place?

tbch, i don't even think people are truly bothered by the comment, but moreso the way jamar said it, because he's very arrogant, and even if people agree with what he's saying they feel like that have to put him in his place...and in the end, end up looking like dumbasses and contrarians. Alot of people have exposed how dense they are due to jamar's comments.

Hip Hop is universal. Ask Afrika Bambaattaa and he will tell you. Asides that ask KRS. Or Kool Herc.

Buckshot is lookin more and more like a clown each week. Ever since Ebro punked him on air

Lost a lot of respect for Buck when he bowed down like a sucker to Ebro in his face then started talking that hot sh!t again afterwards. Always gonna have love for him because of his 90s work but :camby:with this sh!t

It's a black culture. Just in terms of who created it and who historically has been the voice of it. Its a black artistic culture, first and foremost.

What I think Buckshot wanted to say is that its a black cultural art form thats been inclusive of a lot of other races in the early and current days that helped it along the way, right off the strength of how diverse the bronx was in those beginning years and all the different breakers and DJ's and graf bombs. Also in terms whom helped it get into a lot of offices and the buying public. Latinos, Asians, black, white etc etc. It dominated and was breeded in some culturally diverse places like NYC and LA and went overseas and even now the South is developing as theyve become diverse. So, I think a lot of people like Buckshot who disagree with Jamar are worried that it doesnt include them or their fans because he says it in a a very conservative way, but you also can't deny the origin and whom synonomous with either.

All this shyt in the middle trying discredit one legend over the other because they didnt put together their thoughts the right way is a little disheartening. I think we get too caught up in dissing people for the wrong opinon right now to everything and some people just need a legit reason to rip someone who's music they probably didnt like anyway or the type of fans of his music (re: underground boom bap east coast)
