See you cant decide how you feel. On one side if your mouth you praise the hell these so called "game managers" but then cry foul when Matt Ryan gets paid.

Revis is coming off an ACL too and the history of CB's coming back from that injury is bleak.

Which is why this "Revis is demanding $16 million" thing thrown around by the media is a farce. No one is going to pay a DB or any player that much money coming off an injury. He knows that....which is why it's weird to me how his asking price is being bandied around.

in case you forgot,

I believe nearly all positions in football on offense have equal importance

AND

I like matt ryan, but he shouldnt be paid the same as elite qbs.

even without ACL tear, no one would pay revis 20 million.

when he is worth every penny of it

The scarcity of the position is why Ryan gets paid big dollars. Now there's only one Revis, but losing him vs losing your starting QB is monumental.

The best teams in the league their most important player is the QB.

Do you think Ozzie Newsome is an idiot?

We'll see. Like I said I think the Jets are handling this perfectly....their letting Revis' agents determine his worth right now(he aint playing 2013 for 6 mill)...

Dont mind him to him the qb is just nuisance hed rather watch guards block

He cant accept the fact that its a qb league and the rules have made it where nobodies d is that great anymore, the fact the team that won the super bowl gave up 500 yards of offense is pretty alarming

A good qb is worth more then a great corner in todays nfl and always becasue of not justthe rules but the fact a qb ALWAYS HAS THE BALL

As Parcells said the further away you are from the ball the less youre worth

I enjoy every aspect of the game too. Its the ultimate team sport but I dont get why it kills you so much how integral the QB is. Especially if you have a good one. They have the ball in their hands every play.

I agree with that. And I also agree that he shouldn't be making $20M a year. That shyt is ridiculous.

The number is high. But if Ryan hit the open market- some team would be willing to give him that.

I agree....

I honestly think we're going to keep him.

One thing Marshall Faulk enlightened me on years back regarding contract negotiations in the NFL is that they pay you based on your last season. He said you can rush for 1,400, 1600, and 1,300 in order and if you go into discussions, GM's will say "You only rushed for 1,300 yards last season. There's been a drop off in production...we can't pay you that amount!!"

So how can Revis go into discussions asking for $16 million coming off a bum knee? No way can he get the money he's looking for. The NFL is the ultimate what have you done for me lately league when it comes to contracts. Most of these idiot writers saying he's asking for $16 million are just making shyt up. The Revis camp knows they can't get that money anywhere.
