ATV crash kills 18-year-old woman in Niagara Falls, Ont.

An ATV crash late Saturday afternoon in Niagara Falls, Ont., claimed the life of an 18-year-old woman, said Niagara Regional police.
The accident occurred around 5 p.m. in the area of Crowland Avenue and Ridge Road in the City of Niagara Falls, police said.
Two females, ages 17 and 18, both from Niagara Falls, had been ejected from the ATV they were riding, reported police. Paramedics treated the victims, who were transported to a local hospital in critical condition, police said.
The 18-year-old died in the hospital. The 17-year-old remained in critical condition.
Police did not release the names of the victims.
The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation by detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, the Forensic Service Unit and the Traffic Enforcement Unit.
