It's funny how for years we had a good d just a anemic pathetic offense and this year was vice versa

Last time we made the playoffs was the music city miracle. NFL is prob the easiest league to make the playoffs in

Just pathetic brehs

Must say I'm shocked the Bills D turned to shyt especially with a better offense. WTF happened?
Rex fukking Ryan happened. He completely fukked up the D. He ran a scheme that didn't fit our personnel. He just did an terrible job this year. We lead the league in sacks the last two years and this year we were 31st with the same players . He really should be fired but he will come back because he has a huge contract.

So Sammy went for 49 rec. and 900 yds and 7 TD after the bye :wow:

(Watkins stats below are obviously incorrect)

Just throw him the damn ball. I'd like to see us go after a bigger WR in the draft to compliment him.
Put Woods in the slot. I like how he's stepped up into more of a leadership role

Pats exposed Rex's scheme by getting the ball out quick, he never adjusted due to being stubbornly arrogant. Instead of being aggressive and attacking the QB, Bills were a read and react gap control defense. This is against what made the Bills defense good and against the modern NFL, if you can't get to the QB, you got no shot. The only thing that might help Rex is if he swallows his pride and let's Mike Pettine call the plays as DC.

:mjcry: I really thought we would have a chance to make it this year with the schedule and all the weapons added on offense. Didn't think Rex's outdated ass scheme would have such an adverse effect on the defense. The only way I see this team making the playoffs next season is Sammy Watkins turning into an All-Pro candidate and that the offense explodes under Greg Roman :beli:
can't turn into All Pro if he doesn't get targets:francis:hopefully his ending gave Greg Roman some fukking sense

:gladbron: Pegula giving Rex an ultimatum, :patrice: on Whaley though
Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula has given General Manager Doug Whaley and coach Rex Ryan a year to turn the team around after its disappointing 8-8 season, The Buffalo News has learned.

A team source told The News that Pegula met with Whaley and Ryan about a week ago to review the 2015 season and look ahead.

During the session, the source said, Pegula gave Whaley and Ryan an ultimatum: make the necessary fixes to get the team into the playoffs in the 2016 season or be fired.

Whaley is known to have a year remaining on his contract, while Ryan has four years left on a deal that guarantees him to be paid $27.5 million.

Last week, Pegula issued a statement that effectively served as a vote of confidence for Whaley and Ryan, but offered no specific timetable. After establishing that "our expectations were not met," Pegula went onto say, "Bills co-owner and Pegula's wife) Kim, (team managing partner/president) Russ (Brandon) and I look forward to working and collaborating with Doug Whaley and Rex Ryan in forming a winning future for the organization. Our management team and coaching staff are very capable and work well together. This stable foundation is necessary to achieve long-term success in the NFL."

When asked during Monday's season-ending news conference if he expected to receive a contract extension, Whaley said, "The only thing I expect to do, as every day, (is) come in here and try to get better. I mean, that stuff, I'll leave to Russ and the ownership. I just know that every day I've come in here, I've had positive feedback from the Pegulas."

Whaley said he didn't need a vote of confidence, because he has "daily dealings" with Terry Pegula.

In early December, another team source, answering a question about a potential contract extension for Whaley, told The News, "Of course we don't discuss those things during the season."

:beli: Rex just essentially sealed his fate by hearing this news though
Meanwhile, Ryan is meeting with his assistant coaches Tuesday. On Monday, Ryan wouldn't say whether he planned to retain all of his assistants, but a source said two and possibly as many as three changes could be made. However, there are strong indications that, despite the many struggles on defense, defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman is safe.

WGR is saying it's not true. They are saying Whaley is getting a 3 year contract extension

It really depends on how they play next season, if they win 9 games and narrowly miss the playoffs then I think Rex gets another year, if they stumble again to a 6-10, 7-9, or 8-8 again then Rex might not be so safe.

Glad they're keeping Whaley. He's brought a lot of talent to this team and has more times than not made the right decisions
when letting players go.
