Ummmm.... I dont think this was the initial plan... matter fact we all know it wasnt.

Maybe if anything it means we not gonna go after Cousins anymore. CJ can remain being a backup and Hoyer gets the boot

Plus like someone from the offseason explained..... he's a young QB under the tutelage of Brady and Beli for a few years and has NFL experience>>>>>>Than even a 1st round rookie with no experience.

He's probably at worst as good as a top pick rookie

I think this was a great time to make this move. Probably wouldve been forced to give up more later

I'm conflicted.

We need talent bad and a 2nd round pick (that's gonna be 35th overall at WORST) could've been used to adress a big hole with a very good prospect. And we honestly have no fukking clue how good Jimy G really is, Beli made Cassell win 11 games...

BUT, if this means we are not gonna spend our cap and waste years with fukking Kirk Cousins, I can't be too mad at it either. And we do have a couple of 3rd rounders next year

yeah steep price. basically a late first is large haul for a team that still has too many holes

but the fact this blocks us from getting Cousins is huge. rather have Jimmy G than Cousins

Main thing for me is NO COUSINS. Also the niners could very well trade their 1st round pick I'm hoping they do. Some team will fall in love with Rosen, Rudolph, Allen,etc....

This trade just address a big ass hole.... at QB and we cut Hoyer. We still can address other shyt pay this guy accordingly and not blow the bank on someone like Cousins

Just checked. We have NOLA's 2nd round pick next year and the Bear's 3rd round (plus ours) Wouldn't be shocked if we trade down again too...

Love it for two reasons, he might be a legit qb

And reason 2 l, I don't look at Draft picks like gold, a round 2 player could be great or could be LaMichael James

Bet he don't play until after the bye, pretty clear they already given up on Beathard as a starter, as they should have

I like that realistic approach we take nowadays
