We staying with Kaep or gonna draft one of these Qbs?

we should keep him but a new coach and GM will most likely want their own guy.

Eliot Wolf (Asst GM in Green Bay) - no, GB is a pretty :flabbynsick: team who is lucky they have Gawdgers

the packers made the playoffs 7 years in a row and have had only 2 losing seasons since 1992. why wouldn't you want someone who grew up in that organization and started as a scout for them and is now director of football operations at age 34:beli:

they play in the NFC north - not exactly a tough conference. minny or the lions have a good year here and there but never really run the post-season so it's not like it's a super hard path for them to make it., that team hasn't looked really talented since like 2011/2012 at best, they have rodgers who makes shyt happen on offense. they haven't had a good D to their name in god knows how long. i don't want someone who looks good simply because the org is stable and they have a hot QB. i look at seattle, the ravens (at one point), pitt, even the giants...places that seem to be able to find talent on both sides year after year. GB's players don't impress me therefore i have no reason to believe guys like him can handle a full rebuild.

I would really hate that pairing. I dont think it works either. gruden is a wco guy, mcdaniels is very aggressive in pass game. theyre both offensive 'gurus'

I always felt like gruden had decent defenses. Especially in tampa even though tony dungy had a hand in that

their defensive rankings is below

2015 = 12th
2014 = 13th
2013 = 24th
2012 = 11th
2011 = 19th
2010 = 2nd
2009 = 7th
2008 = 22nd
2007 = 6th

the packers have consistently put together a good defense and overall great team. the dip after 2010 could be because the rodgers contract made it hard to re-sign key players but i thought they've done a good job either way.

saying GB don't impress you is crazy. to sustain a run of successful seasons like the packers, pats or pitt is tough to do regardless of division imo and it's not like they're going into the playoffs getting exposed like the colts and your boy luck. they pushed seattle hard last year and almost pulled out a victory if it wasn't for their conservative offense late in the 4th. and you mention seattle but seattle struck gold in the 2010-2012 draft but haven't been able to duplicate that since and now it looks like their window is closing. another thing is, moving back into the first round to draft rodgers was one of the biggest steals ever. Eliot was a part of all of that and word said he has influence on who gets taken so it's not like he's their just sitting like a fly on the wall. he's someone i would trust over any other recycled GM looking for a promotion.

i don't know what stats you're looking at, but i'm seeing total defense rankings as follows: :jbhmm:

2016 - 22
2015 - 15
2014 - 15
2013 - 25
2012 - 11
2011- 32
2010 - 5

like i said, they have gawdgers shouldering them. breh, they're in their favre-rodgers window, we looked the same when we had montana-young...i'm not seeing the "wow". dude is in a stable org with one of the GOAT QB's. again, please point to the draft picks or FA's that you would consider as having elevated the team. if i'm looking for someone to instill a better culture, ok, but we need a culture and PLAYMAKERS.

I filter defensive rankings by OPPG.

Arod, woodson, clay, aj hawk, jordy nelson, peppers, jermichael finley, tramon williams, greg jennings, nick collins, morgan burnett, bj raji, john kuhn, josh stitton that i can think of:yeshrug:i'm sure there are more obvious ones that i'm forgetting. you can throw lacy and montgomery in there too i guess.

Does this guy come with Aaron Rodgers? If the answer is no then stop giving him credit for stuff
