With that said..... we gotta give that guy a reprieve and credit for winning a game or games we know for a fact Hoyer would’ve lost and can guesstimate Beathard would’ve lost.

The only question is them 5 early game that we lost by like a total 11 points. Do we feel like he would’ve won those games?

Off what y’all saw so far, should our record at worst be something like 9-5 or 10-4 with him starting?

Martha

We would be a wild card team right now if Jimmy G started the season. Also, man every time foster talks i hold my breath he is way to brittle. How do you feel about drafting Rashaan Evans in the 3rd or 4th round to pair with Foster, he is a lb from alabama boy plays with speed and is a great blitzing backer and always brings the boom because outside of Foster our lb core is trash.

I would be down with that..... the new Willis/Spikes or Willis/Bowman combo.

I wonder what are we gonna do with Malcolm Smith that we signed this offseason that got injured in preseason. He was supposed to be starting in place of Foster beside Bowman as we slowly transitioned him in but that injury changed things.

Do we cut him or do we think he still deserves a spot on the team and when healthy could bring something to the D?

I was calling out him throwing to double and triple coverage like he was having fun out there :smugfavre: style but every player has holes so it's whatever.

You can't expect people to talk about flaws instead of all the good stuff when they are coming from 5 horrendous QBs and 2 disastrous seasons, come on breh. And it's not like it's overhyping a dude defenses haven't adjusted yet, it's a player that looks legit as fukk.

This Jaguar game is probably gonna be his first bad start considering how fukked up our line is and how good their defense is. If he actually has a good game, I hope we don't talk about the 2-3 bad throws that should've been picked off, that would be kind of a miserable existence as a fan :heh:
if Jimmy has a great/good game against the Jags, I won't be discussing the missed/bad throws for sure

Im a pessimist fan at heart so don't mind me :heh:

willis/bowman would be the most apt in this situation due to both backers athleticism

The thing about Kaep is..... fair or not.... who’s to say what he could be became if he had better support, patience, and confidence in.

Then I look at certain other QB and wonder if they would’ve been in similar situation or viewed the same way where would the be now.

If Eli didn’t luck himself into 2 SBs against tough Pat teams cats would be looking at him like some look at Blaine Gabbert.

Hey if Ben didn’t have the defense and coaching around him to help him develop into who he’s become... he probably would’ve been Andy Dalton or something.

Cuz I clearly remember his early success was predicated on; strong D, strong running game, and not doing too much and game managing enough just to not lose the game.

No one was looking at him like they do now as as gun slinging leader and QB that will win you games. But opportunity and patience through the highs and lows was giving to him that wasn’t giving to many other. No one questions these guys after one bad game or one bad season.

It amazes me how the Cutlers, Romos, and E Manning’s could have 3-5 INT games and no one screams to bench them......

But other guys who may struggle a little but didn’t turn the ball over and then defense may have did shyt to cost them the game but cats would be like “he sucks, he digressed, bench him”

Just blows my mind at the double standard

Martha
I don't want it become a Kaep discussion, you're definitely right with double standards part. My point was mostly that a lot of those players weaknesses...a lot of times they don't go away and they can be spotted from the get-go. Its the teams job to either try to limit the weaknesses or get the player to work on them if possible. Obviously with good teams its much easier. And I give Jimmy a ton of credit here because he's operating with a shytty offense with our #1 WR on IR and #1 olineman on IR as well.

Brieda gonna be good. His pass blocking needs a lot of work. He didn't have to do that in college because he was in a triple option offense.

This wouldn't be an issue if Rathman was still coaching the RB's.

I was looking for this thread.... it gets hidden in all the pages full of BULLshyt.

But man...... heard Goodwin last his dad this week.... only a couple of weeks after losing his child. Dude in having a rough year. I appreciate all his toughness and staying locked in under the circumstances and hope his offseason he just gets a chance to breath a bit and come in fired up next year

Man, Goodwin is trying to take that Antonio Brown-like jump, he could be elite next year. I hate to say it but our running game is looking like our weak link but that could be more on the line than the rbs. I will say, Jimmy makes some throws that make me nervous, those risk passes could hurt us, or Jimmy could keep getting better.

Hyde has always been a middling type of player

Never been high on him, he’s a flash guy with no consistency

I would be surprised if any of the interior guys are back next year
