I love this trade even if its for our 2nd rounder. We have another 2nd and two 3rd founders this year and worst comes to worst we can trade down from #1 for a later 1st rounder another second rounder and future picks. Garapolo has all the tools and 3 years of the best coaching you can get in the NFL. I would takr his upside over Cousins and we can sign him for relatively cheap.

I wouldnt worry so much about WR this draft as this free agency is going to be rife with talent

This is how you should use draft capital.

To me, picks are great, but look at all our last 10 2nd round picks

15 - Tartt, good solid player so far, C+/B- kinda guy
14 - Hyde, good player at times, incosistent, injury prone C+ kinda guy
13 - Carradine, bustish never lived up to potential, injured once he started to show anything D+/C- guy
13 - McDonald, bustish, showed some flashes at times, never panned out C-/C guy
12 - LaMichael James, complete bust F
11 - Kaepernick, all over the place, from great, to terrible, to pretty decent B-
10 - Taylor Mays, Complete washout, F
08 - Chilo Rachal, complete scrub, F
05 - David Bass, B, a pretty good center for a decent amount of time
04- Justin Smiley, C+, a starter for a while, ok at his very best, but stuck for a little while

So that is what a 2nd rounder gets you, out of our last 10 2nd rounders, only 1 has ever played at a great level (Kaep) 3 have been complete and utter garbage and the rest have been middle level role players.

If you can get a potential franchise guy for a 2nd rounder, you do it every single time, espeically a young guy and a guy your HC, who is a QB guy, can groom

TYRONE GA!
Does it?

I mean, so many of these players are complete crapshoots.

It's clear that it's the best chance to get better players the sooner you pick, but a lot of times first and second rounders are complete bums

the biggest issue with the draft is there is no means to measure intangibles, so they all go with tangible shyt that you can measure.

But you can't measure heart, durability, drive, leadership, clutch.

And yeah, there's luck. :francis:

I do think you can look at how cat perform in clutch situations.

For QBs
- completion % on 3rd down that result in a 1st

Defensive cats,
- tackles to prevent a first down
- turnovers created
- times they "beat" the o-lineman they are engaged with.

shyt like that.

But even then, those unmeasurable traits are too much.

Also lmao at them IMMEDIATELY cutting Hoyer after all that fukkin lip service all throughout the offseason and preseason. I can still remember Lynch and Shannahan saying how good he looked and that he was the only qb they wanted. How he knew the offense and it would run smoother vs trying to teach somebody the offense (see: Kaepernick). That sorry fukk didn’t even make past the midway point.

No matter what happens from here on out I’ll never forgive them for that bullshyt.

Edit:
I forgot we have that fukkin bum $7 million guaranteed. I'm pissed like it's my money. fukk Hoyer...

This shyt is embarrassing. What the fukk is a grappplaloo

Was riding this season out in the hopes that we’d end up with anyone of 4-5 good athletic QB prospects coming out in the draft. Now we winless with a trash backup QB as our starter for the foreseeable future
