Exactly that’s my point tho :why:

But you said draft a qb, how would that actually help the niner's weapons situation? Mind you that next season garcon will be back and with the continued development of kittle, taylor, and breida he will have more weapons. Drafting mayfield before the third round is insane, draft oline and a lb for leo first then pick up a couple wr's

Draft a qb instead of paying Jimmy, use that money to get weapons, they not gonna be truly contending for a few years at best.

I think we gotta look at the available free agents too. Any hole in OL, LB and WR that this next draft has should be addressed in FA and vice versa. We have a shyt ton of money and very little talent to spend it on our own roster so we can actually go shopping and try to get really talented players to contribute from the get go.

All I know is that I want a legit #1 receiver so Shanny Jr can give Guwop the chance to thrive on his system. I don't care if we get it via draft or free agency

:what:That makes no sense with all the cap space the niners have. Jimmy looked good out there today, we have no idea how baker mayfield would do against nfl competition. So you are suggestion we trade someone who can get the ball to an array of weapons and can play against nfl teams to get a pick which could turn out completely useless and draft a qb that we know nothing about.

I never said we shouldn't pick up free agents, i prefer building through the draft and sprinkling in free agents here and there. All three positions should be addressed in the draft including corner but building a team through the draft is better for long term success, free agents are for win now squads and it would be better for us to continue building through the draft for longevity purposes. Also, legit #1 wr rarely hit the market, just like legit franchise qbs rarely hit the market.

That’s how the nfl draft works breh :mjlol:

Nobody knows how ANY draft pick will pan out:mjlol:

Maybe they should never draft players because they know “nothing about them”

The reason why I’m suggesting it is because I believe he will be a franchise level Qb in the NFL, and you can get him on a rookie deal, all while drafting other talent and acquiring weapons thru free agency with the money you saved. This boils down to you thinking that Mayfield will be trash, that’s fine, that’s your opinion. But if he balls out in the league , my post will suddenly make sense

:comeon: I know how the nfl draft works. What i am saying is you don't trade a potential franchise level qb that showed a lot of promise in new england and this game for a unknown rookie who has no nfl experience. It is one thing to draft a player to fill a hole but to trade a building block player in his prime with no locker room or off field issues to draft another player who has never played in the nfl to take his place makes no sense. Especially with all the cap space the niners have. On top of that i don't think Mayfield will be trash, i think he is going to be a serviceable back up but franchise qb status nah.

Don't even think about trading a 26 year-old Jimmy G who has experience already has proven to win games in tough situations for a what 22 year old kid u hope by age 24 or 25 ready to prove himelf

Carlos Hyde is set at your running back.

so go out get some more offensive line help and receivers ...

I wasn't disagreeing with you, I'm all for building up through the draft. My point was that we also have enough money to get good quality players in FA. And free agents can help for the future too, Justin Smith is a prime example.

Jimmy is pretty much a rookie who happened to learn from the goat for a few years. Kyle scouted him in college. He's perfect for his system. We just need to add the correct pieces to a team that could turn the corner very easily if done right. This season was about installing the culture and system with some building blocks. Mission accomplished

Anyone thinking draft a qb is nuts

Jimmy has proven some things and a rookie is a complete gamble

Were in a prime spot to either take the highest rated player in the draft Barkley or trade down and capitalize off a qb needy team

Truth is i see us winning 2 more games so well probably fall out of the qb spots anyway

We still need a qb for depth but trading Jimmy for picks is idiotic. He's the qb that Shannahan needs for his offense to run smoothly. Just think about this, the allegedly had to scale back what they were gonna do this week to make it easier for Jimmy and he still threw the ball 37 times.

If we can stay towards the top of the draft then we need to trade the pick and move down to draft a guard in the first round. We probably need to resign Hyde and either draft a WR or sign one in free agency. I would rather we draft one but as long as we get one that's all that matters. We'll have money to blow so it shouldn't be an issue.

shyt people... We might have a win streak going for the first time in 2 years

No man.... fukk no.

No Darnold
No Rosen
No Allen
No Jackson
and fukk NO to NO GOTDAMN BAKER MAYFIELD.

We are good with Jimmy.

I would prefer we get Barkley and a WR and roll with a Hyde/Barkley/Breida/Juice RB combo.

Get some things improved on the oline

Then defense.

I dont even think we need like MAD WRs. Just if we can find that one special one who could become elite and play with Garcon, Goodwin, Taylor, and Murphy

Jimmy has shown me something to give me more hope
