I agree, if nelson is not there trade down and grab some extra picks because drafting another pick for the front seven in the first round will irritate the hell out of me.

Yea he has been a disappointment. With his athleticism and size he should be wrecking shop but as a 1st rounder he has had 3 years to prove he's better than a so so starter.

I'd rather keep him than get a 4th or 5th. He's been a disappointment for how high he was drafted, but he's still a starter and has the potential to be very good to elite with the right scheme. Our front 7 is a little confused and crowded at the moment. Coaches didn't know what they were doing trying to play him out of position at LEO.

My ideal defensive front has Thomas at LEO, Buckner at 3-tech, Mitchell/Upgrade at 1-tech, and AA (let him grow the weight back) at 4-tech. Swap out Mitchell for Thomas in nickel.

That's my biggest issue with him. But if he can stay healthy, he's a very talented player that we should keep.
