Wow this thread is a God send man...just read through all the pages and I'm impressed and humbled by the support and unity we have on this board. Its that kind of luv that a rapper like myself really needs right now. I'm caught at a bit of a crossroads with my "music" career...I dropped my first ever body of work, @whoisDarkPrince EP (thread links in my sig) in 2012 and received ALOT of love and admiration from the Coli and elsewhere. Also hopped on the Coli mixtape Vol 2 (thread/link also in my sig) and recorded arguably the best track on there.


For my next project, Musique Noire: A Love Story, I wanted to take everything to the next level professionally. The entire project is already written and all the production is complete, but the only obstacle for me IS the recording of it. I dont want to use the homemade studio that I used for the first EP cuz I want to step EVERYTHING UP in terms of quality/presentation since the songs I have are really big and musical. So I had decided to record @ the same studio used by Termanology, Moe Pope, Ruste Juxx, Sean Price and various others( http://thebridgesoundstage.com/tour/clients/ ). After meeting with the engineers, I realized the price was more than I could afford, and the project has since been on the shelf


If I could receive ANY financial assistance from you guys on the Coli, Id be able to finally get back to the project and finally complete the recording process. Its gonna take alot of hard work and time to bring to fruition this album the right way, and Im ready to do that. I dont need all the money, as I would naturally be putting in the brunt of it, but any and all help and donations will REALLY go a long way and be much appreciated. My producers on the project have won the last 2 iStandard beat battle competitions in Boston (2013- http://istandardproducers.com/berdz/, 2014- http://istandardproducers.com/slicedbread/), so my team is focused and serious and the successful completion of my album could vault us into the industry and take the Coli there too.

no slight to anyone else on the board doing their thing, but they both seem to take their craft a bit more serious, imo.. keep me updated, because im 100% down if we can get something going for yall..

I'll reply to this properly later man. But I'd be more than willing to be part of a collective to help financially get the project done. It's just whether if others are also, cause obviously I'm not a millionaire so can't do it all myself lol, but I'm down to contribute in a collective no doubt about it. There are also things we can do additionally to make money. So we will speak, but I genuinely hope your project gets completed, and if can help in any ways would be a blessing to do so.

I'm 100 percent serious when it comes to the music. I got a project coming out called 'The New Noir' dropping July 9th. A Wu Collab would be dope, seeing that we already made a dope ass Wu Tang tribute mixtape along with a comic. You can check the thread for yourself and listen to it if you want. Everybody thought it was dope. It would have been nice if it got more than a handful of retweets to the Wu heads. Everybody talks about all of their connections and how easy it is to get on music blogs, nikkas could push this along with no problems or get some Wu associates to listen to it and drop feedback.

Either way I still think you need to make a new thread and nominate/vote on who's going to be the ones who do the collab anyway. This thread already too cluttered with long winded posts and random ideas. You need a thread where cats come in for a specific purpose. Not trying to nitpick. Just giving an honest suggestion.

If you got ya mind made up on who you want the collab to be with and who from the coli will represent (even though nobody voted on anything yet) just go ahead and get things started breh.
