We prolly just need to make a separate thread and tag everybody an any emcee that is serious can be nominated or post up 3 of their best tracks and just go from there on deciding who to rock with by voting. Then repeat the same process with the producers here that are interested.

If it was up to me I'd just say create like a real dope 3 or 4 man group full of the best emcees here and make a lil 5 track ep produced by cats here. Get money to get a collab from a semi known artist or whatever and then have everybody get behind it with their resources and networks and push it.

The reason I think a group works better is because each member could possibly appeal to a different audience which would overall bring more attention to the project.

Just a suggestion though.

Keep this ish going, keep ideas flowing, practically doing things, and try to be progressive, if don't want to build just leave us alone to get on with it whoever wants to lol. If so then feel free to holla, cause everyone cool is welcome to partake and be part of something. There are ways we can ALL do shyt here, it doesn't just have to be nominating one artist. EG: The collab idea, if we all OWN it we can do with it as we wish, in terms of making money and also different type of shyt, so the people with the best shyt or that market It the best will get the most shine. Everyone isn't gonna agree on everything, but we must at least agree to try and support some cool people.

I'm not expecting everyone to be the next Jay Z or Nas, that doesn't mean I won't help them providing they are good people and are serious and it's a mutual thing. We have to support eachother, individually people can do things but a collective even more. I'll be back again when I can be anyway.

Just so I can expand on the potential group idea, I'll use this track as an example since it got 4 different Coli nikkas from 3 different states (Florida,Houston, New Jersey) doing their thing.



The more versatile the artists and producers are the bigger the potential audience. The Coli is full of different musical tastes so we should do a project that appeals to everyone so everyone can be proud of it. We shouldn't just make music that will only appeal to NY hip-hop fans. Just like we shouldn't make a project that only appeals to down south trap fans. Balance is the key.

Right, this is definitely going to keep going as I will definitely be coming back here.

Ok a few opinions/points. I read the idea about the group and also picking a select artist. I understand certain MC's don't want to be affiliated with anything less than high quality ish, that is understandable considering reputations etc. But we should also be very careful not to exclude people, and try to be inclusive. My proposal is that EVERYONE benefits. Don't get me wrong some of those ideas can be done too. But if we restrict it to just 3 or 4 people that may be voted for on here I feel like others will feel alienated. And part of the objective is to do something COLLECTIVE not exclusive necessarily in my opinion.

So firstly I will say again, the colab with some more known artists idea is very good, I've stated already I've done this several times with success. With this, EVERY contributor can benefit, cause they are putting money towards something and OWNING something of significantly more value than their investment, I hope people are understanding this cause it's very simple. Producer/s can say they have had said established artist on their beat and the MC's can say they have worked with them, everyone could have them featured on their own individual project or site or beat or song etc. Only something dope and marketed well will get shine anyway. There's lots that can be done. But try to think of realistic reliable artists.

Again the website idea I've had will benefit everyone also, for the collab project but EVERY artist or producer here too. Because we will give everyone a fair shot and chance, and the best ones will get significant and consistent support and promotion. And if we work to build it up together the more shine we will get as it gets more and more visitors, I've been building on this all day and it's ready, there's a lot of ideas with this idea that can help artists eat better, in terms of merchandise and all sorts of shyt, prize battle tournaments, possibly even best song competitions? This is something everyone will collectively benefit from. These are two of the very best ideas, because it benefits everyone.

We should do those two, so who is down?

I'm up for doing a lot more too also. But let's also remain not solely thinking of self but something for Hip Hop as a whole and others too. Let's try attempt to help more others eat, I have many ideas about sharing resources, information, knowledge, contacts and much much more on the site, and it's ready to get started with now.

In regards to artists to collaborate with, that are numerous names of course, K-Rino would be an option, I'm cool with K and done business with him before, he prices are reasonable, has songs with over 1.6 million views, is highly regarded, Canibus again in my dealings with has all been very cool, but that's personal experience, let me think of a few names that may be possible.

Saigon, K-Rino, G Rap (this will be much more expensive than the others, could be around 3 g's), Chuck D (dealings with Chuck have been very positive, with the right approach Chuck could be open to it, especially if it was part of the site idea as it's about positivity and progression), Chino XL, Cuban Link, Chris Rivers. Chris Rivers I feel might be a very good one, cause he could BLOW the fukk up for real.... Planet Asia, The Outlawz, Last Emperor, anyone else got any suggestions?

Side note, be very careful about those street dudes that have no integrity and talk about robbing, raping, murdering everyone, what makes you think they won't rob you? You want someone with good integrity.

Aight breh. Just list your next steps then so everybody will know what's up. So far it's just a bunch of ideas in this thread again. If you have any artist suggestions for collabs name drop them. So far, most of the underground nikkas mentioned in here I never heard before.

For collabs, I'd suggest Project Pat since he got a name that a people still check for. I don't know his rate, but it's prolly around the $500-$700 range.

Just seen this message, was going through the thread again to see if missed anything. I kind of already have, but I'll have brief round up.

In regards to the website there are numerous things we can do, obviously as an avenue and outlet for DOPE Hip Hop, regardless of budget, no bribes, no bullshyt, just about the quality of the music. Taking the time to professionally review some of the underground artists, if there are any other reviewers on here with samples of their work then I'm open for contributors too, to build the site and as doing so being able to give more exposure to ANY dope artists worldwide, to their videos, their news, their movements, their shows, everything. Could also network and link there, business and music wise. Would also be interested in having a shop section where (if the artist wanted only) sell their music and also merchandise. We could also interview artists. I have a few relationships with some known artists will also utilize which will give the site more exposure and MANY underground artists. And will always be building those. We will also aim to put our projects ourselves that we will pay for, and promote that will increase exposure for artists. And more people hearing. I had the idea to create battle tournaments with prizes also, and even possibly the best song tournaments. We could also offer feedback and critiques. There will be informative intelligent knowledge filled Hip Hop blogs and exclusive content which will undoubtedly help any artist. There wil be music on the frontpage of the site most probably also which we could have featured artists. There is literally limitless ideas. Just need people to support.

In regards to the collabs, I've dropped a number of names, I'm waiting on others to do the same. The Outlawz used to do mixtapes people could feature on too. Another possibly is having famous DJ's host a mixtape or album. K-Rino also does shows, Bun B and others been at the, sometimes there are slots for other artists too. They are very well attended.

I think personally the group idea is something that possibly could be done at a later date. The problem with this is people's schedules and reliability issues, you could be doing shyt then someone or a few people will hold it up (sometimes not their fault) but it's a very risky idea. It could be done after time when you see more of what people's work rate and collective vibes are like. The collab idea is something that can be done and everyone will benefit, with no chance of that not happening, same with the website.

But as a single it could work, not to make money but to create a buzz. Maybe try hit the charts, but again I think this would be better after we get some momentum and avenues like the website poppin first, build a foundation so we have more power rather than starting big before building the foundations.
