It's not a bad contract actually, and hits the salary floor, but it just doesn't make sense if it eats into our 2017 capspace and shows a clear lack of understanding of Bulls fans feelings from the front office. Rondo largely hated amongst Bulls fans and they sign him after jettisoning DROSE

When he gets those dimes by passing up open looks for himself to wait on a teammate to get open, they're not that valuable. He made no difference in Sacramento and he made Dallas much worse. The points aren't that valuable either if he's only taking shots when teams try to force him to score.

Meh. I'm ok with it. We're not going to be in a position to sign a truly franchise-changing FA until this front office is fired at minimum and more realistically not until Reinsdorf sells the team and we have an organization that isn't completely tone-deaf and anti-player. I'm hoping we get a$$hole Rondo who helps us get a better pick, leads to Fred fukkboi and the front office being fired, and maybe even flip Jimmy for assets and a high pick next year. And who knows, maybe he plays like 2012 Rondo, in which case that's also a win.
