Grandmaster Flash and G Rap are pioneers from when rap was still young and G Rap influenced damn near every legend u can think of on the mic. To compare them to Nip isn’t even remotely fair and a false equivalence.LA supports their own like few other rap cities, so Nipsey definitely got play and attention there...but not to the level of bigger artists in the city. Nor was he doing huge shows in LA or Cali in general. A lot of the outpouring of love we're seeing now - especially all these men posting hustler lyrics/quotes from him, or chicks posting #relationshipgoals shyt from him and Lauren - come from people who didn't even hear Victory Lap until after he died.
"Legend" isn't about numbers alone though. How many numbers did Grandmaster Flash put on the board, in the grand scheme of things? How many numbers did MF DOOM put up, or Kool G Rap, etc. It's about impact and influence. And I think the love and insane level of admiration that was poured out after Nip's death makes it very clear he made an impact. You can make an impact in death....he's not the first person to do that nor will he be the last.
He’s right though. Nipsey ain’t no fukking hip hop legend. His name only became big when he died.
Yep, just outcry then silence... Until he pops his head up again.aint nothing gone happen to him

Ray Liota is a bad example. He can be considered legendary off of Goodfellas alone and he has an extensive resume but I see what u saying. He’s not De Niro or Pacino. I just watched the vid and I thought it would be worse than what it was. He actually could’ve broke it down further. Also Nip nor Victory Lap is Plat. It ain’t even Gold. Even after death.Looks like he was answering a question about something Blueface said and decided to double down on it to support his artist. He didn't say anything crazy. In perspective all he's really discussion is Nips standing in his field of entertainment when he died. Nothing about his character, or him as a man lol. If Ray Liota dies and somebody says he wasn't a legendary actor like Pacino or DiNiro would that be considered disrespectful? Should that person get physically harmed for it? People should just ignore Wack and not make these comments so big.
Cali trash for not ending this man. Yeah I said it
I agree. I never heard anyone banging any of Nipsey's music before he died. Now that he's dead now all of sudden he's been elevated. I see so many people on social media that changed their profile pictures to Nipsey and posting so much about him when prior to his death they couldn't name one song of his. This is not to disrespect Nipsey because he was a solid dude and did a lot for the community but I think a lot of this is fake love. He’s right though. Nipsey ain’t no fukking hip hop legend. His name only became big when he died.
Makes senses, this nikka Wack been running Games career to the ground for a while now.No. Jimmy Henchmen was Game's manager, at least during his G-unit days and right after the breakup. Jimmy was behind the whole G-Unot campaign.
So we advocating killing men for saying things we don’t like again? That doesn’t sound like progress.Crips trash for not ending this man. Yeah I said it
