So some of you have a problem with this, but have no problem with slave/child labor in china that allows you to enjoy your cheap electronics and expensive $250 kicks right? There's nothing "evil" about laboring machines. They are machines, making our lives easier is what they're supposed to do. Its gonna cost a fraction of the price compared to human labor. Not having to pay insurance/benefits, and being a TON more efficient than humans while not needing sleep/breaks are gonna save large companies/corporations hundreds of billions of dollars going forward. Now here is where it gets fukked up. Not even a fraction of those hundreds of billions of dollars in savings will be passed on to us as consumers, and unskilled labor is gonna be put in a sleeper hold. Why hire humans when you can get a machines to do 4x the work in half the time for a fraction of the cost? I mean, it make perfect sense from a business perspective. The problem here is greed. At what point do profits become enough? How many more properties do the 1% need to own? How many more jets, yachts, cars? There has never been as large a gap in wealth between the rich and the poor throughout history as large as there is today. The rich is getting richer at the expense of the poor at a ridiculous rate. At this rate an Elysium and Hunger Games type of setup will become reality.

Damn I went off on a tangent lol, but yeah, it's not evil, its just natural progression.

this is what pretty much the rich want. Their only goal is to maximize their wealth and to take as much power as possible... which is why you, the human resource, will eventually be discarded when they can find something more efficient. we'll be in a situation of the extreme haves and the have-nots. The haves will own all sorts of robotics and virtually all means of production while they part and parcel out sustenance to everyone else, and in exchange, they will require your compliance. We've seen what these robotics have done to many other industries, and it'll happen wherever they feel they can replace humans and realize cost savings. The trend is either robotics or humans getting paid third world wages.

My father worked for chrysler stamp for almost 40 years and he got lucky and retired soon when chrysler, ford, GM started going down hill.

Now he told me they are having more computer generated machines doing the jobs now.

The days are over for 70% of companies having training programs and having to train new people for $15 and more when they can have a $100,000 machine doing the job

Americans going to be jumpin the border trying to get to mexico for a cheap way of life :snoop:

I don't see it that way

I think robots will replace humans in tha job market and this will give humans more time to enjoy leasierly activities , such as self reflection and discovering oneself, spending time with family and friends

Only a matter of time

Today the robots are making burgers
Tomorrow the robots are building weapons
Next week the robots are using the weapons they built to fight wars for countries
Next month the war robots can't differentiate which humans to kill and which not to kill so they kill us all

Skynet and The Sentinels were predictions of the future
