Considering horse slaughter is illegal in the US I think that rules out any cross contamination with horse meat

True...I ain't for wholesale horse slaughter like they do cows since they're obviously more valuable alive but if it comes down to eating it I don't see the problem with horse meat . That being said I never ate at BK and never will...their food looks extra disgusting even for fast food

Actually the Horse slaughtering ban in the U.S. was lifted in 2011. Sadly, there are many food items/products & unsavory, dangerous processes that are considered "illegal" which are still being manufactured, produced & utilized without the consumers knowledge & rarely enforced by the FDA/USDA.

Horses could be slaughtered for meat
