Regardless, I'd still say the chances of contamination between horse meat and beef would be minimal.

But I completely understand what you're saying, it would probably be more likely that beef and pork cross contamination happens more frequently in the US given consumption which seems far more egregious given the various dietary restrictions of pork based on religion.

How you choose to perceive or rationalize the information is up to you my friend, I was just informing you of your erroneous statement in regards to Horse slaughtering still being illegal in the US.
