It's because they FELL OFFWhat's with wrestlers just love to shyt on eachother every chance they get lol

That era of Nitro and Thunder they would go out there and shoot on each other tho

Bret actually won it at a Superstars taping that wasnt televised for whatever reason. But up until Raw came out...it wasn't that unheard of for a title switch at a house show. Diesel actually won his title in like 10 seconds against Backlund on a house show...i'm pretty sure it was in the Garden though. All that being said, Hitman was kinda thrown into the main event outta nowhere. I still remember when he won his first WWF world title. Before that night he was in the IC title picture and randomly beat Flair for the world title on some random ass house show. It was the most random world title change ever. Prolly the first one post Wrestlemania 1 (and possibly still till this day) that happened on a house show. Every single title change happened on ppv until Bret's. He still one of the best tho it was just mad random how he was IC champ going into SummerSlam 92 and was defending the world title by Survivor Series (ironically against the IC Champion).
Cripple H is nowhere near as legendary as Rick Rude, Jake Roberts, Macho Man, Austin, Rocky, Flair, 4 Horsemen, Hogan, nwo, Goldberg, Sting..he's a pushed guy from the Rock/Austin era that was protected more than the average star. That's it.Bret actually won it at a Superstars taping that wasnt televised for whatever reason. But up until Raw came out...it wasn't that unheard of for a title switch at a house show. Bret is a legend...one of the best to ever do it...but some of the shyt he's said and done is outlandish...he's a mark for himself no doubt. Most of the top wrestlers are to an extent, but he definitely took it further than alot of guys. For him to say HHH isn't top 1000 is nothing but him being biased and bitter. Kevin Nash may have shyt on him a little bit for him fukkin over his Undertaker Mania match (understandably so) but he's also gone on record to say his favorite match is the one he had with Bret. Shawn Waltman and Stone Cold have echo'd those sentiments. For those sayin he wasnt a main eventer...thats just ridiculous. He had the biggest storyline going on when he was anti-american...and had WWF shows lit when they went overseas and to Canada (they went much more often than in days past I might add). More importantly he was respected by the suits and the boys in the back as the top guy and their champ during that time. Interesting video...but nothing that most people didnt already know.
We pretty much know Brets legacy. One of the best technical wrestlers...not just mat-wise but the way he put together great matches to tell stories. He could have been better at the sports entertainment aspect of wrestling...but he was putting on entertaining matches and was respected enough as a good hand to be given a great storyline that boosted him to main event status.
