I watched this one not long ago

It was pretty good too

I gotta admit, Bam Bam Bigelow was stern but fair. RIP Bam Bam. I enjoyed his takes. Same with Lex and Warrior. Most of the others were seething with jealousy. I mean you can just feel Shane Douglas's pain that he didn't get that HHH spot. If only he had come along a few months sooner, I bet you he would have too.

I'd love to see a Hitman stan admit that maybe some of these guys in the vid I posted had a good point though.

Plus the overall star power of the anti-Kliq's <<<<<<<< the anti-Bret's. Let's be honest with ourselves.

When you put it like that it makes sense. But yea seems now WWE does the same shyt no matter where they are

Because there is no rhyme or reason, even thougj Vince destroyed the territories you still had WCW and ECW. Look at what happened when they were starting to bring ECW back and ran Cena/RVD...do that shyt anywhere else but Philly and you can have Cena win but that reaction was all about where they were.

They have since destroyed that and can dictate who they want. You still have your "smark" crowds but they could care less because its "who else you gonna watch". Then if someone gets big enough they just go snatch them up and do whatever they like with them.

This is why Vince is a genious in my book...he saw this shyt back in the early 80's she he started buying up the territories. He knew that he had to eliminate the competition before anyone else did.

He basically got rich and stopped trying. At one point he pushed who we wanted and it got us to watch, and now that he has it all he can do what he wants. He is the puppet master so to speak.

Look at me, I don't watch anymore outside of Mania and Rumble but I still check the recaps, keep up with it through this site and others... fans will be fans regardless and he knows this.

What started the Bret/Shawn beef to begin with? Just egos clashing or did somebody actually do something?

This is what I've pieced together from books. They were actually cool for longer than people realize, right up until and beyond Wrestlemania 12.

Bret really wanted to push the worked-shoot style stuff with Shawn, so he suggested they dog each other at every opportunity. Bret even said he was fine with boys thinking that they had legit heat. I think the problem was, Bret was laying it in pretty thick and hitting too close to home. Shawn was now champ, pressure was on, so he was at his most all time high strung. Shawn is getting legit salty at the comments, so he starts firing back and before you know it, there's real heat. They were also in direct competition for the top spot, and for WWE's good looking male babyface. It seemed like a bunch of jealousy and insecurity on both of their parts. Bret wasn't as innocent as people think, he even said he threw a lot of gas on the fire in that rivalries DVD.

I'm with you on that. For WWE I basically just follow the main event scene and a handful of wrestlers that I like

He had successful surgery

He'll be fine

It's not like y'all would wait if HBGOAT was in the hospital.

Carry on.
I wouldn't. But I've softened on HBK a bit. It don't hate him anymore. But I'll definitely jump on any bandwagon ethering him or Haitch.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
This Bret/HBK thing is like the Jay/Nas of wrestling. It's got to the point of being tiresome and people just now regurgitate the same points over and over again. It was quite silly of Bret not wanting to job to HBK. I could careless if it was in his home country or not. Bret's idea of dropping the belt was pretty stupid too. The match ends in a DQ and then the next night, Bret comes out, hands the belt over, and leaves. :rudy: Vince didn't think to make Bret drop the belt before he started his negotiations with WCW. HBGOAT was strung up on every drug he could inhale or ingest and was being an all around certified prick/piece of shyt backstage. I think Jim Cornette put it the best "This was the biggest clusterfukk in the history of clusterfukks." I don't care how big of a doped out prick HGOAT was backstage, if you're leaving, swallow your pride and drop the belt. You're going to a company that's going to be paying you ALOT more money. He could have cried whatever issue that he had on his big pile of money. Bret's ego just wouldn't let it happen so thus, we got the Montreal Screwjob. It was shady, but Vince was backed into a corner (that he, himself, helped create), and he had to do something because both parties were being stubborn as hell.

With that said, Bret and HBK are two of the greatest of all time, and Vince is the greatest showman in wrestling history.

This gets thrown around a lot, but it definitely wasn't his big idea. He might've mentioned it as a possibility, but he said a bunch that he'd he'd lose to anyone BUT Shawn in Canada, and that he'd lose to anyone, period, before/after Montreal.

It was all about Shawn and Montreal, that's it. People can still argue that he should've shut the fukk up and done business, but his claimed demands have gotten more and more exaggerated over the years.
