Bret's less angry than I would be in his position.

You're dealing with a company that.

A. Invaded his father's territory after claiming they would respect that Calgary was his territory.
B. Made a deal with his father once they broke that deal saying that they'd pay him 10% of everything they made in that area, but then broke that deal and just said "fukk you"
C. Signed him to a contract that was supposed to reward him for years of loyalty (which was less per year than what WCW was offering), and almost immediately broke that contract and told him to leave WWF and go to WCW.
D. Told him that he could have creative control in his contract that would allow him to go out on a high note when he did leave for WCW, and immediately broke that deal.
E. Robbed him of his title at "Survival Series" in front of the whole world and immediately went to slandering him to anybody and everybody who'd listen.
F. Killed his brother in some stunt he shouldn't have been doing in the first place.
G. Has fukked with him and his family in all kinds of ways over the years, including turning his own siblings against him through bribery.

:russ:Like, If I was Bret Hart, I would've murked Vince McMahon years ago.

I don't see how any Hart could do business with ANY McMahon, especially Vince after all this, but he basically controls the industry, so they don't have much choice.

They even treat his niece who's arguably the best female worker in the company like she's the red-headed step child:damn:

I knew Bret Hart was a self centered jackass that's why HBGOAT is better. Shawn was a piece of shyt but at least he was honest about it unlike shytman.

Kliq.:boss:

Shawns "sins">>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bret's "sins"

What's funny is my whole childhood Bret was #1 for me. Then when I got older it changed to Shawn. Mainly because when I would think of dream matches it was always HBK vs ____ for me. Then I started looking back and realizing I just liked Brets character because I am an introvert and he was like quiet. But yeah dude aint even that nice to me anymore. Also, i'm sure many of you have read Diana Harts book about wrestling and she was dropping dimes on that whole hart family/foundation click. Talked about how Dynamite broke some girl's arm. Save for maybe Owen, the whole click was dirty.

Diana's book had to be taken off the shelves because it was full of so many inaccuracies.

All this talk of "drawing money" in wrestling is so fukking stupid. Like people stopped going to shows when Brett was champ? How do you know if one guy or the other drew the money lol. I don't get it.

I always wondered about that. If i'm going to a show, I'm not just going to see one guy. I wanna see a whole bunch of people and in that era WWF just didn't have anybody else other than Bret and Taker and like a Hennig or somebody.

Plus, there those steroid/drug/sexual harrassment lawsuits at that time.

It was quite silly of Bret not wanting to job to HBK. I could careless if it was in his home country or not. Bret's idea of dropping the belt was pretty stupid too. The match ends in a DQ and then the next night, Bret comes out, hands the belt over, and leaves. :rudy: Vince didn't think to make Bret drop the belt before he started his negotiations with WCW.

1. Bret had a creative control clause in his contract that allowed him to dictate what happens to his character in the last 30 days because Vince loves to destroy people on their way out and Bret didn't want to get clowned on his way out of the door.

2. Vince McMahon is the one who told him to go to WCW and tore up his contract. Bret didn't want to go and signed a much smaller (per year) contract just to stay in WWF, so it's not like Bret just started to negotiate with WCW. He told Bischoff to go to hell the first time when they came at him.

Vince basically said, "fukk the contract we just signed, I can't pay you, you better go to ask Bischoff if he still wants you for all that money". He told Bret he'd be doing WWF a favor by going to WCW.

Vince screwed him in every since of the word.

vince was yelling attitude era in January '97.

Hall said beat me every time as long as you pay me. Then why's he surprised at what happened to Sting?

cuz sting is a bigger star.

he should've walked off with both the victory & the purse money.

Kind of late with the reply. Usually I'd agree, but this was a rare circumstance. Taking into consideration the type of person Sting is, where he was in his career, what he wanted to accomplish, and whatever offer was on the table. The end result wasn't surprising.

He used to be full of bitterness and anger. He's calmed down a lot, so i like him today. To survive Cancer and strokes combined will calm anyone down. I prefer his commentary over Jim Ross, Austin, and Cornette; that's for sure. I disliked him growing up though, he was TOO face. I was a huge Yokozuna fan too.

I thought it was hilarious he shytted on the product and mentioned he had no desire to be at Payback as his way of promoting the ppv/ appearance.
