They don’t tour in the US outside of NYC and maybe ATL and LA.
The new Davido and Chris Brown track is trash. I like both Wizkid and Davido but they need to expand their subject matter.

reality is they never were good songwriters they happened to blow at a point where Afrobeats was just starting and there was no one leading and their music was the most accessible.. but now thats the genre is a force its so easy to see how trash and simple their music is.. pop trash

Burna and Olamide are curating the REAL sound of what you expect Africa to feel like.. their music will last the test of time, david and mr ''my baby oooo'' will reside as party music and nothing else..

album is a nice vibe but there were very few tracks that broke the mold for me. I'm not too big a fan of the track with Zlatan (Killin Dem) but when it comes on its a much needed change of pace in the album. All in all pretty good but not game changing for me

This post sums it up well. Wizzy and Davido’s music is very surface level. Just party music, especially Davido. Wizzy has some more heartfelt tracks “Ojuelegba”, “Oluwa Noni” etc.

Those two just got in the game early and paved the way for the Afro-pop sound especially for the younger generation.

It was really D’Banj, P-Square and Mo-Hits that took it global though. Real OGs in the game
