Yeah, it just means that streaming numbers aren't too important for him. There are musicians who have better first-week sales numbers than him who can't get as large of an audience in person.
He's a Nigerian artist, Universal is a french owned global company (Edit he's on Warner but same shyt). They're not pushing him through radio and playlists cause the US ain't ready yet. Just like that dumb smart runner said, people think the world ends outside of these borders
The dynamics of the music business are complex, always have been and always will be. It's always about what the question is, how profitable he is, dedicated his fans are, how well he performs on radio or streaming, how many fans he has, geographic, demographic etc. And even with profit we won't know cause we don't know how much the label spends or what the artists deal is.
