Yes but I have a hard time thinking that it will work out like that.

Lets say donnie doesn't die or leave in 2029. The markets will crash and millions will be unemployed then the military (which won't be getting paid) will have to decide if they will shoot protesting civilians or not.

The problem with cac's preparing for the "booj" is that they're making the assumption that people will choose poverty to keep donnie in power.
The US is horribly in debt people start believing that the US will reneg on debt payments and they'll pull their money. So you could fight for donnie or kick him out and let shyt continue as it will.

I don't think we'll have a choice for poverty or not in the coming years. I think this administration's actions are going to lead to a severe economic downturn in this country and to the potential Balkanization and ultimate break up of this country.

No one likes to hear this, but debt doesn't matter until it matters. What I mean is, the US led the world for 80 years (125+ if we're being real) and there was an assumption and faith from the rest of the world that allowed us to carry on in the manner that we have. We can argue if that was right or not, but people were going to continue to invest in the US under those circumstances and subsequently could've continued in the same manner for a few more decades. Name one first world country that isn't seriously in debt. National debt isn't the same thing as personal debt.

Why the debt matters now is because we're breaking all of those contracts formal and informal, so there's a loss in investor confidence. No one is going to work with us longterm because not only can we not be trusted, but even if rational actors get back into power, 4 years later the pendulum can swing right back. I fear we actually have to have a left wing authoritarian to undo all the bullshyt this administration is doing. This is why I think we have no other future but poverty. We ruined our world standing in 9 months. It's ALSO another reason Trump and the other oligarchs are pushing for far right governments everywhere. It's the ONLY way we'll continue to hold our standing.

About soldiers getting paid, they will absolutely still find a way to compensate them; military and law enforcement pay is always prioritized even if the pot shrinks. It might bitcoin or another nation's currency or shyt if things get bad enough, they'll be first up to get government sanctioned rations. There's all kinds of ways to get paid. The unfortunate thing is, this administration is so dumb they won't even be able to see that their very actions contributed to the conditions and it will be a perpetual cycle.

I get what you're saying but it's in everyone's interest to keep the current system going for as long as possible whoever upsets the applecart or happens to be in office at the time will be blamed.
